๐๐ก Our Gurooman friends have been extending their interest in colours by exploring light on the light board. The children collected different materials to see how light shines through them and used magnetic blocks to build and investigate how light moves through their creations.
A wonderful hands-on exploration of colour, light, and discovery! โจ

๐งธโจ Nursery Loose Parts Exploration โจ๐งธ
What may look like a suitcase filled with different items is actually part of our Nursery children's ongoing inquiry into babies growing and developing. Through exploring a variety of loose parts, the children are investigating the items babies use, their own experiences, and the changes that happen as they grow.
A meaningful exploration driven by curiosity, discovery, and connection to their world. ๐

Can you believe we are halfway through our Veggie Fun Program for 2026? ๐Our Veggie Fun Program runs for 10 months of the year, giving the QCCS Kindergarten Children real-world experience of our farm to plate approach to food & nutrition. By learning, planting, growing, harvesting and cooking our featured vegetables, children develop an understanding of food systems, as well as confidence in the kitchen.
This month our feature vegetable is beetroot! Loved on burgers in Australia, this nutrient rich vegetable will be whipped up into a creamy beetroot dip by our kindergarten children. Donโt forget to ask about the fun facts they have learned, they will love to share their new knowledge with you.

๐ฑ๐ Our Kuyur friends enjoyed exploring their floor book alongside their Grandfriends as they continued their investigation into fruits, vegetables, and how they grow.
Through this inquiry, the children shared their ideas, questions, and understandings by adding their marks to the floor book, while our wonderful Grandfriends contributed their own thoughts and experiences. Together, they created a rich record of learning that reflected the value of collaboration across generations.
These meaningful connections provide opportunities for children to learn from the knowledge and stories of others, fostering a strong sense of belonging, curiosity, and community. ๐๐ฟ
