🌻 Happy Early Childhood Educators’ Day to our wonderful Harty Street team! 🌻

Today is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible educators who make Harty Street the special place it is.

What our educators bring each day goes far beyond planning experiences and guiding routines. It is in the relationships they build, the way they support children through big emotions, the joy and curiosity they bring to learning, the connections they form with families, and the way they care for and support one another.

This year in particular has asked a lot of our team. Through change, disruption and plenty of flexibility, they have continued to show up with professionalism, positivity and an unwavering commitment to our children and families.

We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated, caring and passionate group of educators. The warm, engaging and safe environment our children experience each day is a reflection of the people who create it. 💛

To our Harty Street educators — thank you for everything you do, for the heart you bring to your work, and for the difference you make in the lives of our children and families every single day.

📚✨ CELEBRATING BOOK WEEK ✨📚

We were delighted to welcome Cr Fiona Cunningham, Councillor for Coorparoo Ward, to Harty Street Kindergarten as part of our Book Week celebrations! 💙💛

A very special thank you to Fiona for generously giving her time to read with our Kindergarten children and share in the joy of books and storytelling. The children loved having a special guest reader join them! 📖✨

We are also incredibly grateful for Fiona’s generous gift of a book voucher for our Kindergarten, which will allow us to choose some wonderful new books for the children to enjoy. 📚💕

Experiences like these help nurture children’s love of literacy and storytelling while strengthening their connections with people in their local community.

🎉 WHAT A NIGHT! HARTY STREET TRIVIA 2026 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Trivia Night on Saturday! 💙

It was such a fantastic evening filled with plenty of laughs, some very impressive trivia knowledge, a little friendly competition and, most importantly, our wonderful Harty Street community coming together. 🏆✨

A very special thank you to the fabulous for hosting the night and keeping us entertained, laughing and thinking all evening! 🎤🧠

🥂 A huge thank you to for the absolutely delicious food — it was the perfect addition to the night and certainly didn't last long!

🎁 And a very generous thank you , Councillor for Coorparoo Ward, for donating our wonderful Lucky Door Prize hamper. We are so grateful for your continued support of Harty Street and our community.

🚤👮‍♂️ A SPECIAL VISIT FROM THE QUEENSLAND WATER POLICE! 💙

We were very lucky to have a special visit from the Queensland Water Police at Harty Street today!

The children had a wonderful opportunity to get up close to the police boat, learn about some of the equipment used by Water Police and discover more about the important work they do to help keep people safe on our waterways. 🚤🌊

There were plenty of excited faces, curious questions and wonderful conversations as the children explored, listened and learnt about a part of our community they may not usually have the opportunity to experience firsthand.

A very special thank you to one of our lovely Harty Street dads for taking the time to visit and share his work with our children. We are so fortunate to have families who contribute their time, knowledge and experiences to enrich our Kindergarten program and children's learning. 💙

A big thank you to Joe Kelly MP for taking the time to visit Harty Street and share a special story with our children to begin our Book Week celebrations. 📖💛

The children loved having a special guest reader and enjoyed coming together to listen, chat and share in the joy of books and storytelling.

We are always grateful when members of our local community take the time to connect with our Kindy children and be part of their learning.

For nearly 75 years, Harty Street Community Kindergarten has been a special place where children learn, grow and take their first steps in education.

Now, we’re asking our community to help us build the future of Harty Street. 🌿

Our Building Futures Fundraising Campaign has officially launched, with a goal of raising $100,000 to support the next stage of improvements to our Kindy — creating safer, more accessible and inspiring spaces for children, families and educators.

🚓 A Very Special Visit from Queensland Police! 👮‍

We were very lucky to welcome members of the Queensland Police Service to Harty Street today!
The children had a wonderful opportunity to get up close to a police vehicle, explore some of the equipment used by police officers and learn more about the important role police play in helping keep our community safe. 🚔

Experiences like these are such a valuable way for our children to connect their learning with the wider community and develop an understanding of the important people and services around them.

A huge thank you to Queensland Police for taking the time to visit us and for making the experience so engaging and memorable for our Kindergarten children. 💙
