14 March- Drawing Workshop: Building Basics with Structure and Proportion.
Brizart is hosting a Drawing Workshop entitled “Building Basics with Structure and Proportion” on Saturday, 14th March 2026.

The workshop will run from 09:30 to 16:00.

Aims
The main aim of this workshop is to help participants build confidence in drawing by developing their skills in depicting the shapes of objects and understanding proportions, both within individual objects and in relation to other objects. The focus will be on perception and developing basic drawing techniques using pencil and charcoal.
The session will feature numerous demonstrations and participants will be guided through a series of hands-on activities.

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for attending this workshop, other than a willingness to learn and develop basic drawing skills.

Age Group
This workshop is suitable for adults and young people aged 14 and above.

* A3 cartridge sketchbook or visual diary
* Graphite pencils – at least a 2B and a 6B pencil
* Pencil eraser and pencil sharpener
* Coffee mug

About Your Tutor
Workshop tutor Dr Jennifer Andrews is a Brisbane-based artist and art educator. She brings extensive experience and knowledge of drawing to the workshops, which cover a wide range of topics including building basics and expanding on concepts and techniques.
