The Art of Human Development Yun Jung Do is the art of total human development. It encompasses much more than just the physical aspects of a martial art.

It is a carefully planned program of exercising physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions with the ultimate purpose of enriching and enhancing one’s life. As a discipline, Yun Jung Do goes beyond the traditional boundaries of a martial art.

Strong martial arts clubs do more than teach techniques.

They build communities.

A good club creates an environment where people can learn, grow and support one another. It becomes a place where friendships are formed, confidence is developed and future leaders are created.

The impact of a martial arts club extends far beyond the training floor.

It influences families.

It strengthens communities.

It helps people become better versions of themselves.

As instructors and leaders, we have a responsibility to create positive environments where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

When we build strong clubs, we build strong communities.

Together, we continue the journey of developing people through martial arts.

Developing Better People Through Martial Arts.

Yun Jung Do – The Art of Human Development

One of the greatest strengths of Yun Jung Do International is our people.

Across Australia, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Europe and beyond, our instructors and students continue to learn, grow and support one another through the shared practice of Yun Jung Do.

For more than three decades, our organisation has been built on the belief that martial arts is about more than physical techniques. It is about developing confidence, discipline, respect, resilience and character.

It is why we often describe Yun Jung Do as:

The Art of Human Development.

Over the coming months, we have a number of seminars, instructor development opportunities and training events planned throughout our international community. These events provide an opportunity to reconnect, share knowledge, strengthen friendships and continue growing together.

Thank you to every instructor, student and supporter who contributes to the ongoing development of Yun Jung Do International.

We look forward to seeing many of you on the training floor in the months ahead.

Together we continue to build upon the legacy of Grandmaster Young Ku Yun and strengthen the future of Yun Jung Do International.

🇳🇿 MASTER ROSS CAMERON RETURNS TO NEW ZEALAND 🇳🇿

Yun Jung Do International is pleased to announce that Chief Instructor and Chairman of the Board, Master Ross Cameron, will be returning to New Zealand this July to conduct a special Senior Development Seminar in Auckland.

As part of Yun Jung Do International's ongoing commitment to supporting its clubs and developing future leaders around the world, this seminar will focus on the skills, knowledge and leadership qualities required to strengthen both individuals and organisations.

While technical training remains an important part of the martial arts journey, the long-term success of any organisation depends on the quality of its senior students, instructors and leaders.

Strong leaders build strong clubs.

Strong clubs create opportunities for students.

Strong students become the future leaders of our organisation.

Throughout the seminar, Master Ross will share practical knowledge and experience in leadership, personal development, training methodology, mentoring and club growth, providing participants with tools they can immediately implement within their own training and teaching.

We look forward to welcoming members from across New Zealand as we continue working together to strengthen the future of Yun Jung Do.

🇳🇿 YUN JUNG DO NEW ZEALAND 🇳🇿

I recently spent an hour on the phone with Instructor Mr John Cowan discussing the future growth and development of Yun Jung Do in New Zealand.

One of the things I enjoy most about working with our instructors is the opportunity to share ideas, solve challenges, and plan for the future together. Strong organisations are built by people who care about their students, support each other, and are willing to invest in continuous improvement.

During my upcoming visit to New Zealand, we'll be working on several initiatives aimed at strengthening support for our instructors, improving communication, and helping our clubs continue to grow.

The future of Yun Jung Do isn't built by any one person. It's built by dedicated instructors and students working together to create strong clubs and positive training environments.

Thank you to John for the great conversation and for his ongoing commitment to Yun Jung Do in New Zealand.

I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone soon.

🇸🇧 YUN JUNG DO INTERNATIONAL – SOLOMON ISLANDS SEMINAR 🇸🇧

Yun Jung Do International is excited to continue its support of martial arts development throughout the Pacific with a special seminar in the Solomon Islands this July.

The seminar will focus on practical self-defence, technical development, teaching methods, and the core principles that have guided Yun Jung Do since its founding by Grandmaster Young Ku Yun.

This event is an opportunity for students, instructors, and martial artists from all backgrounds to come together, train, share knowledge, and strengthen the martial arts community within the Solomon Islands.

As an international organisation, we remain committed to helping our members grow not only as martial artists, but also as leaders within their clubs and communities.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to what promises to be an outstanding weekend of training and learning.

Train Hard. Stay Humble. Keep Learning.

Why Do People Travel Across the World to Train Together?

In a world where information is available instantly online, some people still choose to travel thousands of kilometres, take time away from work and family, and spend a week living and training together.

Why?

Because martial arts is about more than techniques.

The greatest lessons are often found in the conversations between classes, the friendships built over shared meals, the challenges overcome during training, and the opportunity to learn directly from instructors and fellow students who share the same journey.

Every year, students travel from different countries, different cultures, and different backgrounds to come together through Yun Jung Do. They arrive as individuals but leave as part of something much larger.

The Yun Jung Do International Residential Seminar is more than a training camp. It is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the art, strengthen old friendships, build new ones, and experience the unique culture that has connected our international family for decades.

Whether you are a beginner or a senior student, the experience of training, learning, and living together creates memories and lessons that stay with you long after the seminar has ended.

We look forward to welcoming students from around the world to the 2026 Yun Jung Do International Residential Seminar.

Train together. Learn together. Grow together.

Yun Jung Do has always been more than a martial art.

Since its founding by Grandmaster Young Ku Yun, the vision has been to build a worldwide community of students committed to personal development, lifelong learning, and helping others.

Today, that vision continues to grow.

Across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and beyond, Yun Jung Do students and instructors continue to train, teach, and share the values that have shaped our organisation for decades.

Over the coming months, we look forward to connecting with members through seminars, instructor development, club visits, and international events as we continue building the future of Yun Jung Do together.

While our clubs may be separated by oceans and thousands of kilometres, we remain connected by a common purpose, shared values, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

One Art.
Many Countries.
One Community.

Great to see these teenage students working hard and continuing to develop their skills at the Yun Jung Do Mangere Bridge Club in Auckland, New Zealand.

Under the guidance of Ms Curtis, the students recently completed their grading and demonstrated the commitment, effort, and progress that comes from consistent training.

Congratulations to everyone on their successful promotions. We look forward to seeing your continued growth both on and off the training floor.
