🌍 Hospital food services produce a large amount of waste, which typically ends up in landfills.
In order to assist Australia in achieving its goal of reducing food waste by 2030, Dr Nathan Cook, a lecturer and researcher at UQ, is conducting research on ways to effectively measure and decrease this waste. This includes conducting audits to track food waste and working with hospitals to make informed decisions about diverting this waste.

UQ's Motor Active Program can unlock your child's confidence through movement 🏃
The program is a motor skill acquisition program designed to assist children aged 4-15 years to acquire age-appropriate fundamental motor skills.
Motor Active is best suited for children who have difficultly moving and playing in a controlled and coordinated manner including:
👉 children with motor control and development difficulties
👉 children with physical and learning disabilities
👉 children with developmental and coordination disorders
👉 children with confidence and motivational problems
🗓️ The program commences on 15 July 2024 for 2 blocks of 6 weeks, with a break coinciding with school holidays.
