⭐️Merry Christmas from our family to yours. May the magic of Christmas fill your home with happiness & your heart with love⭐️

Today marks 20 years since The Styles Family took ownership of Bay House.

In that time they have built a place where children, families & staff are warmly welcomed, cared for and respected.

Every one who steps through the door becomes a part of the Bay House Family & the connections made within our community last for life.

Congratulations Rob & Anita for reaching this milestone!

📚We recently purchased a collection of books from Children’s Rights Queensland for each age group.

These books empower children by introducing key concepts from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, including their rights to safety & individuality, while celebrating connection & positivity.

The Children’s Rights QLD website also has a digital copy of each book, along with a link to a book reading. Great for families to read along with their child at home.📚

This week is National Child Protection Week. The 2025 theme is ‘Every conversation matters: Shifting conversation into action’. It is a reminder to our community that child abuse and neglect is preventable and that protecting children is everyone’s responsibility.

In addition to our current policies & procedures we have strengthened our commitment to child safety by developing our Child Safeguarding Strategic Plan. We have chosen National Child Protection Week to announce our plan.

Tomorrow we will share our Statement of Commitment to Child Safety. Our Educators have reflected on our centre philosophy & policies, current research, their knowledge of child development and values we hold as Early Childhood Professionals to establish this statement.

🩵Happy Early Childhood Educators Day to our wonderful team who are dedicated to the wellbeing and healthy development of the children in their care.

Our children and families are so lucky to have you as part of their village!

We are blessed with the most amazing Educators and to show our thanks we spoilt them with an array of gifts for them to choose from. Of course we had to have some fun and make a game of it. So many laughs coming from the staff room today.

Thank you for all you do.🩵

🖍️This years Book Week theme, chosen by The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA), encourages children to see reading as a journey of discovery, exploring new worlds and characters through stories.

‘The day the crayons came home’ is a tale of crayons being scattered around the world in Duncan’s house. The crayons then communicate with him through postcards🖍️
