Both our AFL teams experienced great success yesterday at the School AFL Cup! Congratulations students and thank you coaches Joel and Mia for supporting our teams.

We are planning for Senior Athletics Day to go ahead. However, there will be a DELAYED start time of 9:30am.

Prep- Year 3 Junior Sports Day to go ahead today.

🎶Yeronga Takes to the Stage at Fanfare🎶
This week, our Instrumental Music students proudly represented Yeronga State School at Fanfare, the biennial statewide festival celebrating the music-making that takes place in Queensland state school ensembles.
We had three ensembles perform with the following results:
🎵Junior String Ensemble- Division 3- Platinum Award
🎵Senior Concert Band- Division 2- Silver Award
🎵Senior String Ensemble- Division 1 – Silver Award

We are very proud of each member of the ensemble for their commitment and the way they represented our school. A huge thank you to our amazing instrumental music teachers Alex Grodecki and Tamsyn Eastgate for all their efforts training our students to become skilled musicians. Thanks to our other music staff Ms Lien and Mr Quirk for their support behind the scenes at the excursion. 🎻🎺

YSS Year 6 students Jemima and Willow are in Cairns playing in the Met West AFL team. They have had a successful first day. We wish well for the competition ahead!
