We are currently making plans for our next event, but in the interim, join some Dr Sketchys favourites TONIGHT at West End for March Tipple’s first variety burlesque show! While this is not a life drawing event, you are welcome to sketch with an A4 size or smaller pad (strictly no paint or digital tools) - they wont be holding any poses but you might end up putting your pencil down because you’ll enjoy the show so much! 💗

Magnolia Knife is a femme fatale flaunting a derriere built to bump and grind! Magnolia’s dedication to her art-form is confirmed by her array of accolades accumulated over the years including the titles of Miss Burlesque Queensland and Miss Burlesque Australia Entertainer of the Year. She is the co-producer of Dr Sketchy's Brisbane] and a tutor at the renowned academy, having been teaching burlesque for just shy of ten years. She is fierce, she is feminine, and as her name suggests, she is as cutthroat as she is captivating. 

Join her this evening at 🔪🧜🏼‍♀️ATARGATIS and the BIG DEEP🧜🏼‍♀️🔪… she will be waiting to lure you into the ocean blue with her siren song… 🐚

We have none other than multidisciplinary photographer, visual artist and BRISBANE ICON taking photos during our session! This gorgeous image of is an example of Bones’ creative portraiture skills and evidence of her ability to capture alluring sirens lurking in the deep…

With a background in Visual Arts including a Bachelor of Creative Industries, Bones has been an exhibiting artist for over a decade.
During her early career she dabbled in various forms of visual media, however it was in 2007 that she decided to take her love of photography a little more seriously and has been utilising the photographic medium ever since.

Self-taught, she began producing work under the moniker Raw Bones. Her works have been featured in exhibitions locally and interstate through venues such as The Brisbane Powerhouse, Brunswick Street Gallery, through Melbourne & The Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts. Nominated for various awards in her medium, Bones found her niche within the fe**sh & alternative subculture which have been represented in various Australian & International publications.

Bones' work is focused primarily on the female form, where she utilises the n**e and heightened sexuality in many of her pieces, to reflect the dominant and submissive roles often played by women. The alluring, soothing nature of the curve of the body juxtaposing the strength and confidence of the angles used help shift the power play from viewer to subject.

Shello… is it sea you’re looking for? We’d like to introduce you to our support model and assistant for our upcoming August 13th event ATARGATIS and the BIG DEEP 🧜🏼‍♀️ Are you angling for some crustacean domination, aquatic artistry and hardcore prawn?

Friends and anemones, it’s putting the # # # in exoskeleton!

A plus-sized burlesque babe, with looks that could krill, Ruby is as temping, plump and misandrist as a dugong luring sailors to their deaths.

This saucy little starfish delivers a delightful mix of theatricality and tongue-in-cheek seduction, keeping your toes tapping and your claws snapping!

Ruby began her burlesque maiden voyage in 2016 by winning a vintage styling course with the Bombshell Burlesque Academy and was instantly hooked! She was featured in the Virtual Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender with her tribute to legend, Barbara Yung in 2021, was a State Finalist for Miss Burlesque Queensland in 2018 and 2019, a Burlesque Idol Australia Regional Finalist in 2018 and 2019, and appeared in the Australian Burlesque Festival New Follies in 2018.

In astrology, Ruby is a Cancer, which means she loves being close to water and staying in one place, making her a clawesome choice for this month’s 🦞

She’ll put the pearl in your oyster, the jelly in your fish and your squid will certainly be inking!
