We’re off to a great start at our Teacher Forum 2026, with Joanna Sullivan.
15/03/2026
It’s your last chance to register for the QLD flute Guild Teacher Forum, 2026. Presented by accomplished pedagogue, Joanna Sullivan, the day is set to delight and inform teachers from those seeking to start their teaching journey, or further their training for specific flute teaching.
Joanna Sullivan brings over 40 years of experience to flute pedagogy, combining her Victorian College of the Arts training with a Master of Music from the University of Queensland. Her research into how the brain learns and the importance of healthy habits led to her publishing The Fab Flute Player and Teaching Beginner Flute, which outlines the "six pillars" of flute playing. Now a dedicated researcher and author, Joanna focuses on using these innovative, research-informed strategies to help students of all levels build a strong technical foundation and achieve their musical goals.
Drew Niemeyer will join us for a hands-on tutorial on flute repairs, and the day will finish with the inaugural performance of the QLD Flute Choir. What a treat!!!
All attendees will receive a certificate of Professional Development.
