Today we practiced our ball skills. The children learned how to roll the ball in a straight line to one another and practiced catching with focus and coordination. We also worked on making eye contact with our partners while rolling and catching. To finish off, we played a fun game of tunnel ball, rolling the ball between our legs to the next person in the line. The children enjoyed the teamwork, laughter, and movement involved in this activity.

This week we talked about the beautiful jacaranda trees that are blooming all around Brisbane. The children noticed how the trees are covered in bright purple flowers and we discussed the colour lilac.

This week the children are exploring numbers and counting. They are learning to recognise and name numbers, count objects in their environment, and begin to read and understand how numbers are spelt.
