👵💙👴 A Day to Cherish with Grandparents and Special Friends 👴💙👵Our College was filled with smiles, laughter and special memories as we welcomed grandparents and special friends to Prince of Peace for this year's Grandparents and Special Friends Day. From classroom visits and shared learning experiences to time spent together, the day provided a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate the people who play such an important role in their lives.

Thank you to all the grandparents and special friends who joined us. Your presence made the day truly special, and we loved seeing the joy of multiple generations connecting, learning and celebrating together. The relationships between generations are a precious gift, and days like these remind us of the wisdom, love and encouragement that help shape our young people. 💙 Thank you for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime.

🎓 Celebrating Our Student Leaders 🎓 This week, we proudly commissioned our 2026-2027 College Captains, Ministry Captain and Senior House Captains, formally recognising the students who will serve and lead our College community in the year ahead.

These students have been entrusted with an important responsibility: to lead with integrity, model our College values, encourage others, and help shape the culture of Prince of Peace. Their appointment reflects not only their leadership potential, but also their commitment to service, respect and care for others. As they step into their new roles, we pray that they will lead with courage, humility and purpose, inspiring their peers and making a positive impact across our College community.

🌿⛺ Year 3 Camp Adventures Underway! ⛺🌿Excitement was in the air today as our Year 3 students headed off on camp, ready for an unforgettable adventure filled with fun, friendship and discovery.

Camp provides a wonderful opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, strengthen friendships and create lasting memories. From outdoor activities to shared experiences, every moment is designed to help our students grow, connect and thrive. We hope our Year 3 campers are having an amazing time, and we can't wait to hear all about their adventures when they return! 💙

📐🌍 Real-World Trigonometry in Year 10 Mathematics 🌍📐Our Year 10 Mathematics students have been learning about trigonometry, and Ms. Ali's class recently completed an investigation exploring its many real-world applications.

From architecture and engineering to navigation and construction, students discovered how trigonometry helps solve practical problems in everyday life. It was wonderful to see students making meaningful connections between classroom learning and the world around them. Teaching mathematics through real-life contexts helps students see the relevance of what they are learning, increasing engagement, curiosity, and deeper understanding. We are proud of the enthusiasm and critical thinking our students demonstrated throughout this investigation. 👏 Well done, Ms. Ali's class!

Welcome Home, Year 9! 🌿❤️ Today is the day! After four weeks of living, learning and growing at Mt Binga, our Year 9 students will soon be reunited with their families. Over the past month, they have embraced every challenge that came their way, caring for animals, growing and cooking food, completing outdoor adventures, contributing to farm life and developing the independence, resilience and confidence that come from stepping outside their comfort zone.

To our families travelling to Mt Binga today, thank you for your support throughout this remarkable journey. We know you will notice just how much your children have grown. Safe travels, and enjoy celebrating this special milestone together. We can't wait to welcome our Year 9 students back to the College and hear the many stories, lessons and memories they will bring home. 💚🌿🏡

Four weeks that will shape a lifetime. 🌿As our Year 9 students prepare to return from Mt Binga, they do so with more than memories. They return with greater independence, resilience, confidence and a stronger understanding of themselves and others.

Over the past four weeks, students have lived and worked on a working farm, cared for animals, completed outdoor challenges, contributed to their community and learned valuable life skills that cannot be taught in a traditional classroom. Mt Binga is about more than the destination. It is about growth, character and discovering what is possible when you embrace new challenges.

We can't wait to welcome our Year 9 students home tomorrow and celebrate all they have achieved.

Three days. One unforgettable journey. 🥾 A key feature of the Mt Binga Program is the three-day outdoor hike, where students carry everything they need and work together to navigate the challenges of the trail.

From steep climbs to shared camp duties, the hike encourages perseverance, teamwork and resilience. Along the way, students discover just how capable they are when they embrace challenges and support one another. The memories made and lessons learned will stay with them long after they return home.

📢 School Uniforms no longer available from The School Locker at North Lakes from tomorrow🎒As the result of The School Locker's new partnership with EDSCO, Prince of Peace uniforms will be moving from The School Locker North Lakes to the new EDSCO Stafford store this August.

✅ North Lakes - no longer carries our uniform as of tomorrow
✅ EDSCO Stafford - will commence selling our uniforms from 18 August (near Bunnings Stafford)
✅ Campus Uniform Shop: remains open until the end of Term 3 but will then permanently close as families will now have greater access to stock, extended trading hours, and professional fitting services at the Stafford location.
