✨ A Wonderful Evening of Learning & Creativity! 🎭📚 Our Prep–Year 6 Learning Expo & Arts Night was a beautiful celebration of learning, creativity and confidence in action!

From our Year 1 students demonstrating their Push/Pull Cars, to the impressive science experiments in Year 6, hands-on horticulture projects in Year 3, and of course, the stunning artwork displayed across the campus — there was so much to see, experience and celebrate.

Families were first treated to delightful student performances, with our learners shining on stage and sharing their talents with pride. Following this, classrooms came alive as parents stepped in to explore the incredible learning taking place each day.

What made the evening truly special was seeing how our learning connects beyond the classroom. At Prince of Peace, we are passionate about linking the curriculum to real-world experiences, ensuring students aren’t just learning content, but developing the skills, curiosity and confidence to keep learning for life.
It was a joy to watch our students share their learning with such excitement and pride, and to see our community come together to celebrate each child’s journey. 💙

🏃‍♂️💨 It’s Athletics Carnival Day! 💨🏃‍♀️ Our Year 7–12 students hit the track today for one of the most anticipated events on the school calendar! From sprints to relays, shot put and long jump, the energy was high, the competition was fierce, and the house spirit was on full display. 🎉🏆

Beyond the races and ribbons, today was about so much more — courage to give it your all, encouragement for one another, and the joy of being part of a community that celebrates every effort. 💙 We can’t wait to see who will take out the winning house title, but already, our students are champions in their teamwork, sportsmanship and determination.

Real-World Learning in Action 🚀 Yesterday our Year 10 Business students showcased this term’s learning by bringing their ideas to life through their Trade Stalls. Tasked with designing a novel business concept, students stepped into the real world of entrepreneurship—researching manufacturing costs, forecasting potential earnings, and refining their ideas to meet real market needs. Experiences like these embody our commitment to real-world learning—equipping students with the skills, mindset, and courage to innovate, lead, and thrive in a rapidly changing world.

What truly set this experience apart was the level of innovation and initiative. Several students developed fully functional apps, accessible via QR codes, demonstrating cutting-edge thinking and a willingness to turn ideas into tangible solutions.

From engineering materials and health-focused apps to travel and parking solutions, the creativity on display was remarkable. Beyond building strong economic and financial literacy, this project created authentic leadership opportunities for all students. Through collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making, students grew in confidence as they led their projects from concept to creation.

👏 Well done to our Year 10 students, and thank you to Ms Voss and Mrs Deam for guiding this dynamic learning experience.

We were privileged to welcome Broncos and Australian NRLW legends to Prince of Peace MSC Assembly, where they shared powerful insights into wellbeing through the lens of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness (GEM), as taught through The Resilience Project (TRP).

Students heard firsthand from Romy Teitzel, Jesse Southwell and Tamika Upton about how they intentionally use GEM strategies to build resilience, strengthen relationships and maintain balance in the high-pressure world of professional sport. Their authentic stories reinforced that success extends beyond performance, grounded in connection, perspective and the ability to navigate challenges positively. Thank you to Tamika, Romy and Jesse for sharing so openly and inspiring our students through your experiences and commitment to wellbeing.
