We had our annual soirée for the adult students this evening. There was such a lovely variety of musical styles and genres and everyone played so well. Supper afterwards. Always a calendar highlight and everyone had a great time. 😀🎶🎵

On Sunday 1 December we had the annual student Christmas/end of year concert. This is always such a happy event. Due to scheduling, many people were away this year. Nevertheless, the people who attended had great fun. Medals for the 40 piece challenge were handed out and the trophy for the most pieces over 40 was awarded. 🏆 We finished with our combined orchestra with everyone playing their second instrument. A yummy brunch followed. I am now officially on holidays. 😀🎄🎶

We have just finished a big weekend of exams for the students: piano, singing and drum exams. Everyone was very happy because having the exams in a familiar environment is the best. I think it also helps that we have a party with music cake, music biscuits and cat biscuits. A wonderful weekend.🎉🎵🍰

We had our end of year recital this evening. It was a full house with standing room only. It was also a full programme that went for just over three hours, including a Christmas extravaganza section at the end full of Christmas music. We then enjoyed a lovely supper, just outside the venue. Everyone did very well, and it is always a special joy to hear the duets and the trios. Our grand finale, as always, was the orchestra where the students play their second instrument. This year, we had four violins, one viola, one cello, two flutes, two clarinets, one saxophone, one trumpet, two trombones, two guitars, three drum kits, and several Percussion section members. They made a wonderful sound. A massive day but absolutely worth it. They are all such amazing human beings. One happy teacher and many happy students. 🎶🎵😀🎉🎄🥳🎊
