Building Fine Motor Skills Through Play 🎣

Our children have been developing their fine motor skills through engaging, hands-on activities such as fishing games, using tweezers to pick up small objects, and other playful challenges.

Through play-based learning, children are building hand-eye coordination, concentration, problem-solving abilities, and confidence as they explore and discover.

Our young learners at Brighton North Road have been busy creating their own Earth and Sun artworks as part of an exciting space learning adventure!

Through this hands-on craft experience, children explored concepts about our solar system while expressing their creativity and imagination. 🚀✨
The activity also sparked curiosity, encouraged questions, and supported children in developing their understanding of the world around them through meaningful play and discovery.

A puzzling puzzle 🧩
As they match shapes, colours, and images, children are strengthening their problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, concentration, and perseverance. Puzzle play also supports fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness.

Its wonderful to see children embrace challenges, develop resilience, and experience the joy of success through meaningful play. ✨

At Brighton North Road our children explore creativity and problem-solving in the sandpit by using natural materials to create patterns and designs with rocks.
Experiences using natural materials help children develop respect for nature while fostering curiosity and a sense of belonging.

Kindy pen-pals 💌📝
Over the past few weeks, our Kindy children have been working together to write a special letter to another kindy (Goodstart Goodstart Early Learning Redcliffe - Ashmole Road). They have shared ideas, talked about what they wanted to say, and helped each other contribute words, drawings, and messages. Throughout this process, the children showed growing confidence in expressing themselves and understanding that writing helps us connect with others.

We can't wait to connect with our Kindy friends across the bridge.
