Meet our latest cover star: Boardwalk Tavern 🍻

Perched over the water at Hope Island Marina, family-owned and operated Boardwalk Tavern has long been a favourite for locals and visitors alike and now, it’s taking centre stage as the cover star of the latest issue of QHA Review.

After nearly 15 years behind the bar, owners Matthew Coorey and Richard Malouf have given the Gold Coast favourite a major makeover, creating a fresh new space while keeping the community, familiar faces and much-loved character at its heart.

From a new sports arena and six-star gaming room to a welcoming grand entrance, the transformation is all about setting the venue up for its next chapter while staying true to what made it special in the first place.

September - From hotel tours to hole in ones ⛳

Tom and Bernie took QHA members behind the scenes at Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel for a hotel tour, networking and rooftop hangs at Sully's Rooftop.

Amy and Tom hit up No Vacancy Expo, rubbing shoulders with 250+ suppliers and getting the lowdown on what’s next for the accommodation industry.

Tom was one of the first to check out the freshly transformed Peppers Clear Mountain ahead of its official opening.

BIGSOUND feat QHA - we teamed up as Presenting Partner for the Sunshine State Lunch, with Damo taking the mic as MC to wrap up a huge week for Queensland’s music industry.

Bernie put pedal to the metal on the Pollie Pedal ride, an 8-day ride supporting Wandering Warriors Limited.

And we lucked out with a glorious day for the QHA’s annual Golf Day, with 200+ golfers hitting the course alongside plenty of our fabulous QHA partners.

Established in 1879, the iconic Winton pub has been at the heart of some of Queensland’s most significant moments, from the first public performance of Waltzing Matilda and the birthplace of QANTAS, to its own remarkable story of fire, resilience and reinvention.

Today, it remains a vital part of the community; a place where locals and travellers come together, stories are shared and history is still being made.

QHA’s infamous Golf Day teed off at RACV Royal Pines Resort last week, and safe to say, it was an above par day out! 🏌️🍻

With 200 players taking on 27 holes, followed by a packed house for dinner, the competition, banter and beverages were all in full swing.
