Welcome back to Term 4 at Nursery Road State Special School! We hope all our students, staff and families had a safe and enjoyable break, with a good balance of rest, relaxation and a sprinkle of fun.
As we begin our final term of the year, we are looking forward to another term filled with learning, celebrations and opportunities to strengthen our connections across the Nursery Road community.
Queensland Mental Health Week
This week, we are proud to acknowledge Queensland Mental Health Week (3–11 October), with this year’s theme, “Build Community, Build Wellbeing.” The theme is a wonderful reminder of the importance of connection and the positive impact that feeling connected can have on our wellbeing.
In the spirit of connection, we invite parents, carers and families to join us on Thursday 8th October from 1:00–2:30pm for some fun old-school wooden games.
There will be alley-style games involving throwing and rolling challenges, where participants can test their skills and aim for the highest score, as well as maze and balancing games. Our students will also be enjoying these activities throughout the week.
Come along, try something a little different, have a laugh and enjoy some time connecting with other members of our Nursery Road community.
