Information directed for Western Australia
We are in full social distancing mode here. We need to protect a very vulnerable family member and also feel it's necessary to keep the community safer by reducing the strain on our health system. We don't know if there will be any school holiday activities to promote and most of our giveaways that were lined up have been suspended. So we're sharing something a little different.
I'm a wannabe homeschooler and genuinely considered it for my kids. Needless to say I have schedules and lesson plans drawn up (thanks, anxiety, you're finally good for something).
Many companies are jumping on board and providing their resources for free or with extended trials so we can all keep our kids engaged and learning while we hunker down.
Here are just some of the resources we are using. There are HEAPS out there already and more are popping up daily. Feel free to add the ones you find :)

Your local library should also have a kids page with links to things like e-books, e-magazines and things like that. You can also sometimes access Kanopy for documentaries and so forth.
YouTube has an endless supply of amazing videos, tutorials and docos too.
Happy teaching!
P.S. this is great for any kids who are a bit worried
