Session 3 was experimenting with recycled (and found) materials.
We spent time layering, joining, building, combining, weaving, drilling, stacking, taping, glueing and imaging new life into old materials!
This was our final week of in depth material exploration. The next 5 weeks will give way to focused studio practice, where our awesome little artists will have time and space to make, make, make!!
Can’t wait to see how far they can push their ideas! 💡

This term, Dabble Art is taking its next creative step! 🎨
We’re evolving our studio sessions to give children even MORE opportunities to think, choose and create like real artists.
Our young artists will explore a shared theme, learn new techniques and create work that reflects their own ideas, interests and imagination.
✨ More creative choices.
✨ More confidence.
✨ More problem-solving.
✨ More ownership of their artwork.
Our Term 3 theme is Places That Hold Us - a journey through ideas that may include homes, nests, forts, shells, hideouts and imagined worlds and anything else each individual artist brings or interprets.
Artists will spend the term exploring cardboard, recycled materials, textiles and drawing, building skills while creating a unique body of work they’re truly proud of.
At Dabble Art, we’ve always believed art is about so much more than the finished piece. It’s about helping children develop creativity, confidence and courage that they carry into every part of life.
We can’t wait to see where their ideas take them this term! 💜

“I can’t do this.”
They’re four little words we hear from children from time to time.
But with the right encouragement, those words can transform into, “Can I try again?”
Art has a wonderful way of helping children move through self-doubt. Every challenge overcome, every problem solved and every finished piece becomes their own personal evidence that they’re more capable than they first believed.
That’s why great art classes are about so much more than paint and paper.
They are deeply relational.
A caring, experienced educator knows when to step in, when to step back, when to ask the right question, when to press them further, when to hold the space longer, when to offer a new strategy and when to simply believe in a child until they’re ready to believe in themselves.
At Dabble Art, we know confidence doesn’t grow from getting everything right. It grows from feeling safe enough to keep trying.
And watching that transformation is one of the greatest privileges of what we do. 🎨🙌🏽

Imagine… Being a kid whose ideas aren’t just allowed... they’re celebrated. 💛🎨
A place where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is nurtured, mistakes are welcomed and someone cares about your creative growth and genuinely believes your ideas are worth exploring.
That kind of support doesn’t just create beautiful artwork. It helps children grow into people who trust themselves, think independently, solve problems creatively and have the confidence to share their unique perspective with the world.
We think that’s super rad.
At Dabble Art, we absolutely LOVE being part of that journey. Every child who walks through our studio door is reminded that their imagination matters, their ideas have value and they are capable of creating something only they could have imagined.
We know that’s a privilege and we strive every day to honour that and the children we serve. ✨
Let them do their thing! 💫🙌🏽

There’s something really special about gathering a small group of friends to do something creative together.
It gives kids space to slow down, connect, laugh, make choices, encourage each other and feel proud of what they’ve made.
Good for the mind. 🧠
Good for the heart. 💜
Good for the soul. 💫
We love that our studio can hold this calm space for kids.
