Kindergarten Heads to St. Ambrose’s!
There is an extra buzz of excitement in the air this morning! Our Kindergarten group headed off on a very special excursion to St. Ambrose’s Primary School.
This visit is such a wonderful milestone for our little learners. It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to step into a “big school” environment, explore new surroundings, and get a gentle, joyful introduction to what lies ahead for them in the future. We are so proud to see them heading off with such curiosity and confidence.
A huge thank you to the team at St. Ambrose’s for hosting us today!

Little Hands, Big Growth! 🪴
Our toddlers at Seedlings Early Learning had a wonderful time this month planting their very own mini beans! It has been a great experience filled with sensory exploration, feeling the soft soil, handling the tiny seeds, and giving them a gentle splash of water. Beyond the fun, this hands-on activity is a perfect way for our little ones to learn about nature, patience, and how to care for living things.
Check out how much the potted beans have grown already, how exciting!!

Today, the children enjoyed our World Cup kick-off activity. They explored the soccer balls and grass area by rolling, kicking, and chasing the balls. The children were excited and actively involved in the experience.
This activity helped children develop their gross motor skills, balance, and coordination while having fun with their friends.

For World Environment Day, the children explored ways we can care for our environment through discussions and hands-on experiences. These activities helped foster an appreciation for nature and encouraged the children to become little environmental advocates.

This week in Kindergarten, the children have been focusing on their sense of safety and wellbeing. During group time, they enjoyed reading a story about safety, followed by a meaningful discussion where children shared their thoughts and ideas. The experience was then extended through a follow-up activity, allowing children to further explore their understanding of feeling safe, supported and confident within their environment.

National Reconciliation Week is the perfect time to get everyone involved in some meaningful art! Why not grab some paint and have everyone add their handprints to a big banner or poster?
Using the beautiful, symbolic colours of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, it’s a fun, hands on way to talk about "walking together" and what it really means to be a good friend and neighbor. No matter how small their hands are, everyone plays a huge part of building a brighter, more united future for all of us.

✨ Light Board Magic! ✨
Who knew that a little bit of light could turn a simple sketch into a total masterpiece? 🎨💡
We’ve been having the best time in the studio today using our light board to practice our tracing skills! Whether it’s perfecting those tricky shapes, working on steady hand control, or just enjoying the process of "glowing art," it’s been a huge hit. It’s the perfect blend of focus, creativity, and a whole lot of fun.

Our Kindergarten class have been focusing on shapes and their patterns in the world around is.
As an extension of their interests they read a beautiful aboriginal storybook called Miimi Marraal, Mother Earth by Melissa Greenwood.
Through this book they pointed closely at the illustrations and observed circles, curves, and lines in the Aboriginal artwork depicting land, oceans and sky.
This has helped the children see that shapes aren't just on paper, they are all around us in nature. Afterwards, the children worked together on a big shape collage and used felt boards to retell the story and create new ones.
What a beautiful opportunity for an interactive cycle of learning!
