I'm no longer running classes through .songbirds.bne but am so pleased to announce I'll be running these sessions with the incredible Buttery Music School , in a vast, open and airy space in in Hamilton, Brisbane.

Classes are for caregivers of children aged 0 - 4 years old.

We're running 3 sessions for a special price of just $39, or $13 each session, starting this Friday.

In collaborating with Centenary, our dream is to build a supportive community amongst families of young children in this relaxing and beautiful location. Kindermusik is the perfect complement to swimming lessons, bolstering your child’s developing life skills and bringing balance to their week. It has been a really special time, spending Monday mornings with you and your little songbirds, while I was training in Kindermusik curriculum and studying child development and baby signing. I've learned so much, and grown as an educator, and I thank you all for helping me do that and for being up for having FUN along the way!

I'm very happy to say that I've completed my training, passed all my exams, got some super encouraging feedback from the Kindermusik examiners, and am now fully accredited to deliver Kindermusik classes to Foundations (baby) and Level One (1 - 2 year olds) families 🙌🏽💜🙌🏽

We will be holding some Playdate classes soon, which will be pay-per-class, and then we will open up for term enrollments for Term 4 (in October, following QLD School Terms).

Little Songbirds assistant Nahla here, helping with set up before heading to school!

We are a small family-run business, with emphasis on 'family'! We were first introduced to Kindermusik when Nahla was four months old, and as new parents, the classes were so precious to us. We learned so much about baby and child development through Kindermusik classes, and met our first mum and dad friends here.

Fast forward six years, and Tash has now trained as a Kindermusik teacher herself, offering classes to young families with the aim of providing the same warm, 🤗 welcoming space that we benefitted from as a new young family.

Little Songbird Caregivers.... we've got you!!!

We know how necessary caffeine is if you're a parent to a Little Songbird. As of next week, we are moving to our new Spring Hill venue for Kindermusik classes, and as a top priority, Matt went this morning to check out the Piccollos at nearby

The verdict is in.... the coffee is good and the staff here are baby and young child friendly 🙌🏽

They say it takes a village to raise a child. But what if you don't live in a village, know a village-load of people, or... know where to find them?

When I first became a mum, I was in a new country, thousands of miles away from any kind of support system I'd previously had in place. I didn't realise what an isolating experience this parenting gig could be.

We started Little Songbirds with Kindermusik as the basis of our baby and toddler classes, because we know how good the curriculum is and we know how you get not just excellent class content but also material to last throughout your week and holidays (I'll get onto info on the Kindermusik app in another post).

But the BIGGEST reason why we chose to start Kindermusik classes, is because this is one of the first places where we found our village. I found some of my closest mum friends here, when Nahla was 4 months old (she turns 6 years old at the end of this week). My Kindermusik teacher, lovely Verna, made a huge impact on my transition into motherhood, and for that, I am forever grateful.

Our aim at Little Singbirds is to provide a warm, happy, safe place for babies, young children, and their caregivers as they navigate the kaleidoscope of experiences that is the Early Years. We hope great friendships can be forged here, not only between the little songbirds, but between the grownup songbirds, too.
