This term, hundreds of Year 10, 11 and 12 students from across our 10 campuses came together for our annual Careers Expo - and wow, what a day it was!

With more than 40 exhibitors on the floor at our Deception Bay campus, our young people had the chance to:

- try a trade
- explore apprenticeships and traineeships
- discover industries they never knew existed
- find out how to get a head start on their dream career
- connect with real employers with real opportunities

The energy in the room was incredible.

Seeing our young people light up when they found something that excited them - well, that's exactly why we do this.

A huge thank you to every single organisation that came along and shared their time, knowledge and opportunities with our students.

And to our young people - your future is bright. We can't wait to see where you go.

At Arethusa College, every campus has a dedicated Pathways team to help our young people turn what they love into where where they want to go.

In Science last term, our Juniors were studying different types of energy. They made some very successful mini bows and arrows for elastic energy transfer and transformation and had fun measuring the impact force would have on toy cars.

The World of Maths incursion visited again this year with a variety of activities to engage students and staff alike!

Also, in English, students have been practicing their persuasion skills, such as trying to persuade staff to buy a haunted house – creepy gremlins included.
