Growing a love of reading together 📚💛

There is something very special about watching our Grade 4 students read with their Prep buddies. These moments are about so much more than books. They are about building friendships, confidence, kindness and a sense of belonging.

We are so proud of our Grade 4 students as they model wonderful leadership, patience and encouragement, while our Prep students delight in sharing stories with their older buddies. What a beautiful example of learning and growing together at Mt Carmel! 🌱📖✨

🕊️ Praying for Peace at Mt Carmel 🕊️

This week, our students have taken time to reflect on the importance of peace in our world, our communities and our hearts. As part of our Peace Vigil, students gathered in prayer, asking God to bring hope, healing and understanding to those experiencing conflict and hardship around the world.

Throughout the week, students thoughtfully wrote their own prayers for peace and created beautiful peace lilies, symbols of hope, compassion and new life. These meaningful acts remind us that even the smallest gestures of kindness, understanding and prayer can help create a more peaceful world.

As a Catholic community, we are called to be peacemakers, following the example of Jesus by showing love, forgiveness and respect to others each day.

Thank you to our students and staff for embracing this opportunity to pray, reflect and stand together in hope for a more peaceful world.

🙏 Prayer for Peace

Loving God, fill our hearts with Your peace and teach us to be instruments of Your love.

May our words and actions bring kindness, hope and understanding to all those we meet. Amen. 🕊️💙

✨ Celebrating 85 Years of Faith, Community, and Tradition ✨
Our school community recently came together to celebrate 85 years of Our Lady of Mt Carmel School and the unveiling and blessing of our beautiful new Mary and Jesus Sculpture. 💙🙏

Designed with input from students, staff, families, and our parish community, the sculpture is a lasting symbol of faith, hope, and love. Located at the heart of our school, it offers a welcoming space for prayer, reflection, and connection for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this special vision to life and make this milestone celebration so memorable.
