Special visitor today from local member Joe Kelly MP. Visiting to read “Tabby the Stubborn Cat” by Gina Mooney. A lovely book session in the sunshine to kick off Book Week celebrations. 📚

Bush Kindy this week saw our Kindy Learners building their own shelter to keep them safe and dry for the unpredictable Brisbane weather. Finding the needed supplies and constructing a teepee shaped shelter. Our learners also discussed respecting the environment and shared spaces.

A little magic has arrived. Small world play is a large interest for many of our learners and we are finding new additions to allow more exploration of the yard.

Bush Kindy was all about exploring nature and capturing images plus a bit of tree climbing. Being outdoors with nature is an important part of being a kid. 🌿 🌳

Getting messy is part of life and we have been doing some messy work in our backyard to freshen up our garden beds. We dug up some old paver and relocated them for a special magical space to be built. Lots of heavy lifting and using tools as we explore our yard more.

The beautiful sunny weather this week meant a perfect opportunity to get a little wet while we gave our outdoor chairs a nice scrub. Teaching children care and respect for their environment and resources. 🌞

The rain has held off this week so our Bush Kindy program kicked off again. Exploring our local area is so important in supporting children’s development.
