If Term 2 is creating chaos in your household maybe your teen needs help improving their writing. There’s no point panicking slow or fast, it’s much better to get some help from The Writers’ Schoolhouse - I’m here to help at whatever pace you need.

Doesn’t it just make you want to be grass? 4mm of rain yesterday and now it’s all perky, and greeting the day with green sparkles and “Hello, How’s it?”

Did the end of term 1 smash you? Even so, you made it - so well done you! I hope you got a break.
But if you’re concerned about your teen’s struggles those thoughts probably won't go away easily. The second best thing you can do to improve their writing during these holidays is to get them to write a really basic journal. Just bullet points for a few days. Then random sentences. Then start adding more detail. No pressure, no assessment, just noticing what they see, think and do. Even just a comment on the game they’re obsessed with. Just Write.
Of course the best thing is to schedule some sessions with me - but take it one step at a time.
For now, enjoy the rest of the holidays break. Rest. Recharge. You've earned it.

I'm Wendy and for more than five years I've been helping Brisbane teenagers succeed in high school.
I know that every student needs a slightly different approach to solve similar issues, so all sessions are tailored to meet exactly what your teen needs. No fixed curriculum, and definitely no “let’s just do your homework.”
