Our UQ Res Community came together for Relay for Life, showing support for those impacted by cancer.

UQ Res SRP2 now has a name: Margaret Valadian Place (MVP)
Named in honour of Margaret Valadian AO MBE, an Indigenous academic, educator and advocate for Indigenous rights through improved access to education. MVP carries a legacy of leadership and firsts. In 1966, our namesake became Australia’s first acknowledged Aboriginal woman to complete a university degree, graduating from UQ with a Bachelor of Social Studies.

Our residents made some memories this month! We had our First Floor Catch Ups for the year, we celebrated Holi & Eid al-Fitr, we cut and coloured our hair for World's Greatest Shave, we had our annual Australia Zoo Trip and our first Newtworking Night Session for our BEL residents.
