We recently completed Mental Health First Aid accreditation for some brilliant people at Redpath Moning. We love engagaing with workers in the mining sector to have strong, robust, deep and honest conversations to do our best the change the outlook on Mental Health and Mental Illness in the industry. There was great discussion around what they are doing well, what can be improved and all signed up to assisting in breaking the stigma.

R U OK Day 2025 - I’m so glad that this years campaign focussed on asking this ANY day! And it is great to work with companies that also educate their staff about the structure for continuing the conversation, not just promoting the asking! is one of those companies and it was so great to go out and talk on R U OK Day to so many of their people in person and who joined us online! Thanks so much for having us! A quick stop too at to chat with and check in on some of our fav people.

Excellent work being done by Bernard Galbally and to support rural and regional communities in Vic and Tas. The Crew sounds like an amazing experience for our young people.

Did you know today is Mental Health First Aid Day? I know, I know, we have so many Days every year but this one you probably haven’t heard about! Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) allows accredited and trained people to confidently engage in a mental health conversation through recognizing signs of mental illness, but more so gives a structure for this conversation so a person can share, feel heard and be provided some encouragement to seek support both professionally or personally.
I have now been a facilitator for fast approaching 4 years, and have delivered over a hundred courses across many industries. What overwhelming stands out for me is that people get a better understanding of mental illness and a whacking the face that this is common. But also that we need to break the stigma and stop and give time to talk to people who are unwell, as much as we would for someone developing a physical illness. I’m glad I get to share this vital information.
If you’re sitting there thinking you’re workplaces needs to actually do this and not think it’s a good idea, get in touch with me and we can talk you through the options for course delivery. It’s a strong passion of mine to share this with you. Wade Hurst
HAPPY MHFA DAY!!

We were thrilled on the weekend to be a key part of the Park Ridge Pirates AFC Mental Health Round. On Thursday night, Wade Hurst ran our Community Mental Health Awareness program - “We Need to Talk….” for the players, coaches and supporters. It was an engaged group who showed full commitment to learn and break stigmas.
We followed this by attending their Mental Health game with our friends from TIACS and also with Tamarah Vos from TradeMutt. The TradeMutt jerseys looked bloody amazing and what an initiative!! We love doing this work as much as with our corporate partners and customers and couldn’t be prouder sharing this important message and breaking stigma!
Thanks Pirates for having us as part of this amazing initiative.

On Thursday night we were privileged to be invited to Park Ridge Pirates AFC to talk all things Mental Health. What an amazingly engaged group who were very keen to listen, learn some tips and tricks about mental health conversations and to open the conversation. We can’t thank you enough for having us down. If your club or community group would like to learn more about mental health and know more about our E-A-S-E conversation structure, please get in touch with us. Wade Hurst

Did you know that our brains are made up of particular parts that all have very unique functions? This is a great insight into what each of those parts does and why we consider our brains complex things some times. 🧠😀
