Flashback Friday 📸 Final Peer Support

What a fantastic program it has been this year! Through games, conversations and shared experiences, our students have built connections across year levels, developed resilience and strengthened their sense of belonging. A special thank you to our Year 6 Peer Leaders for their enthusiasm, leadership and care throughout the program. We are so proud of the positive relationships and friendships that have grown across our school community. 💙💛

Grandparents Day was one of the many special moments we shared in Term 3. 💛

We loved welcoming grandparents and special people into our school community for a beautiful liturgy led by our Year 1 students, followed by time spent exploring classrooms, admiring learning and sharing precious moments together.

Thank you to all the grandparents and special people who joined us. The joy, pride and connection throughout the morning made it a truly memorable celebration of family, faith and community. ✨

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers and father figures in our St Ita’s community. 💙

This week, we were blessed to celebrate with a special Father’s Day Liturgy led by our Prep students. Thank you to our Preps for sharing such beautiful words and songs, and to Fr Will for guiding us in prayer.

A special thank you also to our P&F for providing a delicious breakfast enjoyed by our fathers and special guests.

Today, we give thanks for the fathers and father figures who guide, support and inspire with love, strength and wisdom. As we celebrate their gift to our lives, we also keep in our hearts those who may be remembering loved ones today.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and blessed Father’s Day. ✨🙏

Book Week is off to a wonderful start! Yesterday’s Character Parade was a joyful celebration of stories, imagination and creativity, with so many amazing costumes on display across the school. We were treated to a fabulous performance by our Book Week Orchestra, featuring students, staff, parents and past students, before Mr Wilson delighted the crowd with a reading of The Great Dawn Choir, joined on stage by his very own flock of feathered friends (our teachers!). A huge thank you to our incredible librarian, Mrs P and Mr P for bringing this special event to life. We can’t wait for more Book Week fun throughout the week! 📖✨🎶

From rainforests to arid landscapes, our Year 5 students spent a glorious sunny day exploring the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens yesterday 🌳☀️ With the guidance of an expert educational officer, students investigated how plants have adapted to survive in different habitats, enhancing their understanding of this term’s Science unit on plant adaptations. Our Year 5’s were very immersed in this rich learning experience!
