In the lead up to an exclusive beginner tap class next month, I thought it would be a great idea to properly introduce myself! 🙋‍♀️

I'm Laura, from Melbourne and have been living in Brisbane since May '23. I'm a school teacher, having taught many years and primary relief teacher and performing arts teacher. It's super rewarding in these roles! 👩‍🏫

I have been teaching dance for over 12 years and I absolutely love it. I have taught almost every style, level and age but nothing beats adult beginner tap! It's my favourite class to teach 💃

My classes are the most fun you'll ever have in a tap class, if you're just starting out! Upeat and catchy music, often themed, scaffolded steps and engaging choreography in an environment that is absolutely no pressure. I also love providing real-time feedback for your improvement. ⭐

I've got a BA in Dance and Drama, and a Master of Teaching in Primary and Secondary, a Southern Federation of Dance Teaching Certificate, First Aid and CPR. I'm also currently member on the AusDance VIC education advisory committee. 💬
