Great news — our Pie Drive orders have arrived!

Families who placed orders can collect their pies this afternoon from the office.

Unfortunately, due to external complications with transport and delivery this afternoon, our Gisler Pie Drive orders will not be delivered until tomorrow, Thursday 18th June.

Our Lady of the Assumption will be in contact tomorrow to confirm their successful delivery and associated collection.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this delay.

Minecraft Engineers- Grades 3 to 6

Minecraft Engineers is an adventure into the world of coding, engineering and design - all within the much-loved universe of Minecraft!

Each week, students tackle fun technical challenges to build epic rollercoasters, skyscrapers, circuits and more. Along the way, they’ll explore engineering fundamentals, Redstone mechanics, and basic programming concepts - developing real-world skills through creative play.

Congratulations, Mr Clark!

We are thrilled to share that Matt Clark is a finalist in the BCE Excellence Awards for the Excellence in Strengthening Catholic Identity category!

Matt brings our Catholic Identity to life each day through the powerful gift of music. He has written the lyrics and music for our school song, and each year creates an original theme song that helps our students understand and live our school theme in a meaningful and engaging way. Songs such as Always, We Begin Again, Pilgrims of Hope and We Are the Gardeners have become a special part of our faith journey and are loved by our students.

Matt also composes music for liturgical seasons and leads all of our Masses and liturgies through live music, creating prayerful, joyful and inclusive experiences for our whole community. His ability to make faith accessible, authentic and deeply engaging for young people has had a lasting impact on the spiritual life of our school.

We are incredibly proud of Matt and feel so fortunate to have his talent, dedication and faith-filled leadership in our community.

Here’s what’s happening at OLA this week! 🌿

It’s a full and vibrant Week 9 with plenty of opportunities for students to be involved – from FUSE Cup Trials and High Jump Heats, to Liturgies, Excursions and Choir.

A reminder to wear a splash of Maroon or Blue on Wednesday for State of Origin Day! 🔴🔵

We also look forward to celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday evening. Please keep our candidates in your thoughts and prayers.

Prep 2027

We recently welcomed our 2027 Prep students back for their second Peek into Prep session!

It was wonderful to see the children settling in so confidently and enjoying their time at school. A highlight of the morning was singing along with Mr Clark and his guitar — lots of smiles and enthusiasm all round.

We’re looking forward to continuing to build these connections as the children prepare for their journey into Prep. 🎶

Thanks to your generosity, our fridge is stocked and our snack supplies are overflowing.

We truly appreciate your continued support and will put another call out when supplies are needed again.

High Jump

Our Year 2–6 students have been busy getting ready for our upcoming Athletics Carnival, making the most of our morning High Jump practice sessions.

It’s been great to see so many students coming in early, showing initiative and building their skills ahead of the big day.

A big thank you to our teachers who are generously giving up their time to support and run these sessions — we appreciate it.
