We strive to provide a welcoming, safe and respectful environment for all children to engage in play and leisure activities of their choice. At WOSHC we strive to deliver a high-quality program that is stimulating, engaging, and exciting. Each child’s strengths, ideas, abilities, and interests are the foundation of the program. Our ongoing cycle of observation supports each child’s learning and development. In addition, we are continually engaging in critical reflection to ensure we are providing an exceptional program for all children in our care. Planned activities are intentional and meaningful, with clear links to My Time Our Place Learning Outcomes. By fostering children’s sense of belonging and being, we hope they can transition into becoming successful and active members of society.

🍞💙 WOSHC is doing Breakfast Club! 💙🍞

What a Wondallful way to start the day! ☀️

Every Thursday morning throughout Term 4, WOSHC is proud to support our school's Breakfast Club, helping students kick-start their day with yummy breakfast and a friendly smile! 🥰

This morning, our wonderful Miss Carol, along with two of our amazing Senior students, were busy serving up delicious toast to students as they arrived at school. 🍞

We love seeing our older students step up, lend a hand and demonstrate kindness, leadership and community spirit! 💕

A huge THANK YOU to Wondall Heights State School and Chappy Jill for this Wondallful initiative. We are so grateful to be involved in something that brings our school community together and helps our students start their day feeling happy, welcomed and ready to learn! 🌈

Yesterday, we received the Dental Gift Packs along with 2 cuddly friends! 🥰 If your child had a dental check last week, please collect their dental pack from the WOSHC room - they are named.

🎒 Is your child starting Prep at Wondall Heights State School in 2027? 💙
WOSHC is now preparing for our 2027 Prep intake, and we’d love our incoming families to get organised early.

If you think you may need Before School Care, After School Care or Vacation Care next year, we encourage you to complete your WOSHC enrolment as soon as possible. Even if you’re not quite sure what days you’ll need yet, getting your enrolment underway now means one less thing to organise as the new school year approaches! 2027 Preps can start with us from January Vacation Care.

At WOSHC, our Prep children are supported by our caring educators in a safe, welcoming and fun environment where they can build friendships, confidence and independence as they settle into school life.

What a beautiful day for some Spring Carnival fun! ☀️🌼

The kids have been having an absolute blast out on the Junior Oval, bouncing, sliding and laughing their way through the inflatables! 🤩🎉
There have been plenty of smiles, lots of energy and some very happy children making the most of this gorgeous spring day. 💛

📺✨ A little upgrade in the WOSHC room! ✨📺

We’re excited to introduce our new WOSHC digital photo display, giving families another way to see some of the wonderful moments, activities and experiences happening at WOSHC. 💛

At the moment, it’s showcasing photos and videos from yesterday’s incredible Talent Show - and we have to say, our performers absolutely stole the show! 🌟🎤🕺

This is an upgrade from our traditional photo boards, allowing us to share more of what the children get up to while also being a more sustainable option with less printing and paper waste.

Of course, digital safety and children’s privacy remain a priority, and content displayed will continue to follow our usual permissions and safe practices.

💛 A Special Farewell to Miss Bianca 💛

After an incredible 4 years with WOSHC, the wonderful Miss Bianca is saying farewell to WOSHC.

Over the years, Bianca has been such an important part of the WOSHC community. She has supported countless children and families, shared so many laughs, helped create special memories and brought so much care, commitment and energy to our service.

Four years is a long time to be part of so many little lives, and we know there will be plenty of children and families - past and present - who have very fond memories of Bianca and the impact she has had during her time with us.

While we are very sad to see her go, we are also incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed to WOSHC and wish her nothing but happiness and success in whatever comes next. 💐

🌱 GLASS JARS WANTED! 🌱

We’re getting ready for a fun hydroponics project with the children at WOSHC and would love your help!

We are looking for donations of clean glass jars that we can reuse as part of our growing activities. 🪴💧

If you have any spare jars at home, please give them a good wash, remove the lids and labels where possible, and send them in to WOSHC.

It’s a great chance for the children to learn about how plants grow, sustainability, recycling and caring for their environment - all while getting hands-on and a little bit messy! 🌿

Thank you for helping us turn something that might otherwise be thrown away into a fantastic learning experience. 💚

Sometimes simply asking “Are you OK?”, taking the time to listen, and letting someone know you’re there can make a bigger difference than you realise.

A friendly reminder that casual booking rates apply from Wednesday this week (Week 9).

If you are planning to book for our September/October Vacation Care program – 21 September to 2 October 2026, please make sure your booking is fully completed as soon as possible.

✅ Your booking is not complete until the Declaration of Acknowledgement has been signed - located in the WOSHC Room.

✅ If your child requires medication for asthma, allergies, anaphylaxis or neurodivergence, the required medical form must also be completed before we can enter your bookings.

👉 If you can’t see your Vacation Care booking in Xplor, it means there is still an action required from you.

From next week (Week 9), we’ll begin supporting our children with their transitions into their 2027 WOSHC areas.

💛 Current Prep children will begin transitioning into Juniors
💙 Current Grade 2 children will begin transitioning into Seniors

Throughout the transition period, children will have opportunities to spend time in their new areas, become familiar with routines and expectations, connect with educators and other children, and explore the activities and spaces available to them.

Transitions will be gradual and supportive, with educators considering each child’s individual confidence, needs and readiness. Our aim is to help every child feel comfortable, confident and excited about their next step at WOSHC.

If you feel your child may need some additional support during this transition period, please have a chat with our team so we can work together to support them🌈
