🥶❄️ HELLO, WINTER! ❄️🥶

The first chilly mornings of winter have arrived, and our children were very excited to make themselves cosy with our new WOSHC blankets this morning! 🧣

Whether they were chatting with friends, completing some morning activities, or simply keeping warm before the school bell, the blankets were certainly a hit. 💙

Creating welcoming and comfortable spaces is an important part of supporting children's wellbeing. Sometimes it's the simple things like a warm blanket, a friendly conversation, and time with friends that help children start their day feeling safe, settled, and ready to learn. ✨

We are loving seeing our children embrace the cooler weather while staying warm and connected at WOSHC.

A huge thank you to Sue (our very own Kath's (AKA COOKA from the Tuckshop) mum) for her incredibly generous donation of beads, buttons, and craft treasures to WOSHC! ✨

The children have absolutely loved exploring all the different colours, shapes, and textures, and have already been busy creating bracelets, necklaces, keychains, and unique masterpieces. 🎨💎
Donations like these help spark creativity, encourage fine motor skill development, inspire imaginative thinking, and provide endless opportunities for children to connect, create, and share ideas together.

The Wondall School Disco is nearly here, and our team can help your child arrive looking extra fabulous! ✨💜

💖 A little sparkle to get them dance-floor ready!

Simply pack your child's disco clothes and hair brush in their bag, and we'll help them get changed and disco-ready before pick-up.

📍 Please remember: Parents/Guardians will need to pick children up from WOSHC and take them to the Disco at the Hall.

📣 Vacation Care Reminder – Only 4 Weeks Until School Holidays! 🎉🌈

Can you believe we only have 4 weeks of school left until the next holidays?! 😲

Our Vacation Care program is filling quickly, and we would love families to jump online and submit their bookings as soon as possible to avoid missing out on favourite days, incursions, and excursions 🚌🎨⚽🍿

✅ Reminder: Bookings are only confirmed once:
• The online booking form has been submitted
• Declaration of Acknowledgement forms are signed in person at the service

Families with children requiring medication, medical management plans, or inclusion support are also reminded to ensure all required documentation is provided at least 2 weeks prior to Vacation Care commencing 💙

🌟 What a wonderful day we had last Friday celebrating Under 8’s Day with our amazing school community! 🌈🎨

A few of our awesome WOSHC Educators had so much fun running a Marble Painting activity where children created colourful masterpieces. 💙💛

It was so lovely to see the excitement, curiosity and joy shared throughout the morning as the children explored, created and connected with one another.

A huge thank you to Wondall Heights State School for inviting us to be part of such a special event. We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate alongside your students, staff and families. 🫶✨

We loved being part of the festivities and can’t wait for next year! 🌟

📢 WOSHC Booking Cancellation Reminder

Please note that updated cancellation procedures will take effect from tomorrow 7/5/26.

To avoid being charged for a booking, families must provide:
• 2 business days’ notice for BSC & ASC bookings
• 7 business days’ notice for Vacation Care bookings

If the required notice period is not provided:
✔️ The full session fee will apply
✔️ The booking will count as an absence day

Please also note:

If your child is absent and the service has not been notified before the session starts, a $15 non-cancellation fee will apply in addition to the full session fee.

This fee covers the significant staff time involved in:
• Checking school attendance records
• Locating children onsite where required
• Contacting families to ensure children are safe

These procedures form an important part of our duty of care responsibilities.

We kindly ask families to manage bookings carefully through the Xplor App and notify the service within the required timeframes wherever possible.
