💛 Every child has the right to feel safe.
We recently asked the children at Seedlings, “How do you know you are safe at kindy?”
Their answers highlighted something incredibly important. Relationships.
“Because the teachers are with me.”
“When I’m next to a teacher.”
“When a teacher is holding my hand.”
For children, feeling safe often comes down to knowing there is a trusted adult nearby who will support, guide, and care for them.
These small moments help build the secure foundations children need to feel confident, connected, and safe every day. 🌱

🦷😁 Big smiles all around!
Thank you to Delivering Dental for visiting our centre and providing gentle dental check-ups for our children.
Having these visits in a familiar environment allows children to feel safe, supported and comfortable while learning about the importance of caring for their teeth.
These experiences help build confidence, reduce anxiety and encourage healthy dental habits that can last a lifetime.
✨ A positive dental experience today can help create healthy smiles for the future!

Every child has the right to feel safe💛
But what does feeling safe actually mean?
Children and young people tell us that safety is about more than physical safety. It’s about feeling welcomed, included, respected, secure, and accepted for who you are.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be exploring the Child Safe Standards and what they look like in practice, while continuing to create environments where children feel safe, supported, and heard every day.

EYLF Outcome 5 focuses on children becoming effective communicators
Communication in early childhood includes so much more than spoken language - children express themselves through play, movement, creativity, relationships, storytelling, and everyday interactions.
Through these experiences, children develop confidence in sharing ideas, building relationships, and connecting with the world around them.

A little bit of patience, wonder, and nature’s magic 🦋✨
After discovering a chrysalis, the children carefully observed and cared for it over 10 days, eagerly checking in each day to see what might happen. Their patience was rewarded when a beautiful moth finally emerged!
Experiences like this spark curiosity, encourage observation skills, and create meaningful connections with the natural world 🌿
