From the commencement of Term 3 on 13 July 2026, there will be slight adjustments to the commencement time of some morning district bus services. These time adjustments have been made to improve the reliability of these services and overall network operations.
The following changes will be made to district services to Kenmore State High School.

Congratulations to our Kenmore SHS Dance Troupes! 🎉
This week, our three dance troupes competed in the 80th Anniversary Year of the Ipswich Junior Dance Eisteddfod, held at the Ipswich Civic Centre. Students spent the evening proudly performing routines they have worked hard throughout the year to learn, refine, and rehearse in preparation for performance.
Competing in highly competitive sections against schools from across South East Queensland, our students performed beautifully and demonstrated the energy, dedication, and commitment they have consistently shown under the guidance of Troupe Choreographer and Kenmore alum, Georgia Lear.
Congratulations to all students on their outstanding achievements:

We also congratulate our Hip Hop Troupe on their performance and recognise the hard work, commitment, and growth they have demonstrated throughout the season and in preparing for the eisteddfod. Their energy and dedication on stage were something to be proud of.
Well done to all dancers and staff involved for representing Kenmore State High School with pride.

Our CEO Sessions continued this week with students having the opportunity to engage in an inspiring Q&A session with Marc Meili, Founder and Managing Director of Protech Group, a major Australian workforce solutions and labour hire company specialising in the technical, civil, mining, and construction sectors.
Marc shared his personal and professional journey, providing students with practical advice about leadership, success, resilience, and the future of work.

Some key takeaways included:
📌 No good thing comes easy.
📌Mistakes are everywhere in life – look at them as learning opportunities as no bad things last forever.
📌The success of business is sometimes doing the same thing, but better and better.
📌Jobs will change but not disappear – the skill young people need is being adaptive. They also need to work hard and be curious.

Students were highly engaged throughout the session, asking thoughtful questions and gaining valuable insights into the realities of business, leadership, and career pathways.

A sincere thank you to Marc for generously sharing his time, experience, and wisdom with our students. We would also like to thank Byron Rienstra for organising and facilitating these sessions and for his ongoing commitment to supporting KSHS students through growth coaching and career development opportunities.
