We had our last Concepts & Contexts Workshop today and it was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed the thought provoking conversations and laughs. You were a great group and a lovely way to finish off our workshops! ✨

New book alert! So excited for this!
Also: if you are studying Auslan formally, you SHOULD have this book: Australian Sign Language - an introduction to sign language linguistics by Adam Schembri and Trevor Johnston. Auslan teachers call it “the blue bible” 🙃

✨ Our LAST Concepts & Contexts workshop is THIS Saturday 18th July 2026. ✨
Come and join us in South Bank, QLD 9.30-12noon.
We will be looking at English words and how best to sign them in Auslan, depending on the context. This workshop is presented in spoken English, with no interpreters.

We are not sure when/if we are doing these workshops again, so come if you've been thinking about it - now's your chance! Tickets are in my linktree - in my bio! 🎟️

Come with me to the Imperial City Hue - with Auslan 🇻🇳

Please excuse the interchangeability of the terms royal family/king/emperor and city/citadel - I was doing a bit of googling and also listening to the audio guide throughout the morning (an app that I could download and listen to via my hearing aids - amazing!) and every source was using different terminology - it really shows in this reel in both my English and Auslan and I am too tired to go back and re-film! 🙃
