💚 Happy World Gratitude Day!

Today is a reminder to slow down and appreciate the people, moments and experiences that bring meaning to our lives.

Gratitude doesn't have to be complicated. Take a moment today to:

🌱 Think of three things you're grateful for.
💬 Tell someone you appreciate them.
🤝 Acknowledge someone who has supported you.
☀️ Notice and appreciate a small moment in your day.

Practising gratitude can be a simple way to encourage reflection, connection and wellbeing.

For Your First Aid Trainer, supporting wellbeing means looking beyond emergencies and recognising the importance of connection, compassion and looking after ourselves and others.

💚 What is one thing you're grateful for today?

💛 R U OK? Day 2026

Today is a reminder that checking in with someone doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, a simple “Are you OK?” can open the door to a conversation that someone really needs.

R U OK? encourages us to trust our instincts, start the conversation and genuinely listen; not just today, but any day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared a conversation, and helped create a more connected and supportive community. 💛

Because asking “Are you OK?” is just the beginning. The real difference comes from being there, listening and continuing to check in.

Ask R U OK? Any Day.

💚 What a privilege it was to be part of the National Mental Health First Aid Summit 2026 in Melbourne.

It was wonderful to share the story of the Collective MHFA group in Brisbane and our experience of building a strong, collaborative instructor team.

More than anything, the Summit was a great reminder of the power of coming together; to connect, share experiences, learn from one another and strengthen mental health support across our workplaces, schools and communities.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to such an inspiring couple of days, and to the Collective MHFA Brisbane team for continuing to demonstrate what collaboration can achieve. 💚

Feeling grateful, inspired and excited for what’s ahead.

I’m really looking forward to presenting on Day 2 of the National Mental Health First Aid Summit 2026 in Melbourne.

It’s a great opportunity for Australia’s Mental Health First Aid community to come together, connect, share ideas and learn from one another about how we can continue strengthening mental health support across our workplaces, schools and communities.

I’ll be sharing the story of the Collective MHFA group here in Brisbane and talking about the 5 key ingredients that help make a successful Collective MHFA instructor team:

🤝 A shared purpose
💬 Clear communication
🌱 Mutual support
⚙️ Simple systems
🙌 Collaboration and supporting one another

When instructors work together with a shared purpose and a genuine spirit of collaboration, everyone benefits; from instructors and participants to workplaces and the wider community.

I’m looking forward to sharing what we’ve learnt from our experience in Brisbane, hearing from others across Australia and being part of the conversations that continue to shape the future of Mental Health First Aid.

If you’re heading along to the Summit, come and say hello! I’d love to see you there and have a chat. 💚
