Our Year 1 students have loved exploring the world of plants and animals in STEM this term! 🌱🐾
As part of their learning, they created amazing animal habitat dioramas, showcasing their understanding of how living things survive.
We’re so proud of their creativity and effort—well done, Year 1! 👏

✨ Year 6 Leadership Day ✨
Last Friday, a group of our Year 6 students attended Iona College for their Catholic Primary Schools Leadership Day.
Students were inspired by guest speakers sharing their personal faith journeys and enjoyed team challenges and connecting with students from other BCE schools.
A big thank you to Iona College for hosting such a wonderful day, and to our amazing student leaders for representing our school - and themselves - with pride! 💙💚

Today our Prep students became busy bees during RAW ART! 🐝🎨 They explored clay, paint and a range of craft materials to create their own bee art sculptures. The children had a wonderful time experimenting, creating and learning through art.

This experience also linked closely to our classroom learning. In English, students have been learning about beetles, making connections between insects and their features, while in Religion they have been exploring the Creation story, recognising God as the creator of all living things.

Year 4 students have been hot on the trail of a mysterious Australian legend — the Yahoo (also known as the Yowie)! 👣 In a surprising twist, two eyewitnesses have come forward claiming they spotted the creature in the Blue Mountains area! 😲 Our budding investigators have been busy conducting interviews, asking thoughtful questions, and piecing together the clues. Want to hear more about these intriguing sightings? Just ask a Year 4 student about their interviews — they might just convince you there’s something out there… 🕵️‍♂️🌿

What a fantastic day at the QC Cup on Monday!
Despite wet weather, our girls showed incredible teamwork, resilience and school spirit 💙💚
A big congratulations to GA 4 for finishing runners-up in the U10/11 Division B — an amazing achievement!

The girls were very excited to meet Queensland Firebirds players Imogen Allison and Ruby Bakewell-Doran at the presentations!

Our Year 4 students loved taking part in National Simultaneous Storytime today! 📚✨
They joined millions of children across Australia to enjoy Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller, then got creative making playing cards inspired by the story’s characters. A wonderful celebration of reading and another way we at Guardian Angels! 💙💙
