Term four is going to be an extremely busy term for us and our school calendar has been updated

Please see below two graphics. The first being save the date for weeks 1 to 5 and the second being the important dates for weeks 6 to 10. This is for parents and families forward planning.  Additional information on each event will also go out.

Queensland Mental Health Week 2026 is from 3–11 October 2026, with the statewide theme “Build Community, Build Wellbeing,” focusing on connection, belonging, and community‑driven mental health support. As part of this important initiative and our school's commitment to supporting positive educational journeys, transitions and student wellbeing, Richlands East State School Year 6 students will be participating in a High School Transition Workshop delivered by Headspace and facilitated by RESS Guidance Officer.

The session will cover information about:
-mental health and wellbeing in adolescence
-how to have conversations with young people about their mental health & wellbeing
-strategies for parents and carers about how to support their young person
-where you and your young person can go for support

Congratulations Eagle ticket winners. Students in 1A, 1T, 2D, 2H, 4A and 4W got to verse the formidable teachers team (plus a few years six student students thrown in to bolster the numbers). We had a fun afternoon session of playing dodgeball.
