Future Geologists in 3K
3K deep in research choosing their favourite rock, and adding facts for their rock posters. They have been learning there are 3 types, metamorphic, sedimentary and igneous and that rocks are billions of years old. So far the crowd favourite is the igneous rock ‘obsidian’. We have also been finding lots of sedimentary rocks around school, which has been very exciting.

1A are enjoying their new classroom and learning some hands on number concepts. Ps- they are allowed to write on their desks. It’s learning made fun!

1A are learning to write a procedural text and what better way to do it than combine this skill with some real life learning. Students built roads and wrote a procedure for crossing the road safely. They all managed to teach Bingo how to cross the road safely. Well done 1 A.

What a fabulous day we had at the senior athletics carnival.

Our students ran fast, jumped high and threw long and had a fabulous day. I think one of the special highlights was the 4 x 100 m all age relay at the end of the day.

Thank you to our PE teacher and all staff for a wonderful event. The students were so happy to engage in their track and field events.

Congratulations to our age champions 10-year-olds 11-year-olds and 12-year-olds. Our nine-year-old age champions will be presented with their medallions at the next whole school assembly.
