Every year, Theatre & Dance is incredibly proud to be part of the magic of the Ekka, and this year is extra special! 🎉 Theatre & Dance is honoured to be the team behind the Farmyard Friends Show, performing daily on the stage in the Channel 7 Pavilion. 🐷🐮🐔 We can’t wait to bring plenty of singing, dancing, laughter and country fun to families from all over Queensland! 🌾🎭

But as much as we love performing at the Ekka, our absolute favourite tradition happens away from the showgrounds. 💛 Each year, the Farmyard Friends team heads to the Queensland Children’s Hospital for a very special visit, bringing songs, smiles, cuddles and a little bit of farmyard magic to some truly incredible children and their families. 🏥✨

We feel so grateful to be part of such a special event each year and can’t wait to make some unforgettable memories this Ekka! 🌻🎡

🌟 TERM 2 HIGHLIGHT! 🌟

What an incredible achievement! 🎭✨

Back in May, our Musical Theatre students took to the stage for their Comdance Theatrical Performing Arts exams, and we’re absolutely thrilled to share that every single student passed with flying colours! ❤️💛🩷🩵💚

Even more exciting… an outstanding 90% of our students achieved Honours, High Honours or Honours Plus! 🤩👏 What an incredible reflection of the passion, commitment and love for Musical Theatre that shines through our studio every single week.

We absolutely love the Comdance syllabus and the opportunity it gives our students to grow as well-rounded performers. It was a privilege to share our passion with our wonderful examiner, Mrs Kerry Smale, who made the experience such a positive one.

To all of our Musical Theatre stars…congratulations! Your hard work, courage and dedication continue to inspire us, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved. Here’s to many more moments like this! ❤️✨

Introducing Little Stage Stars! This program specialises in introducing children to dance, singing and musical theatre in a fun, nurturing and confidence-building environment.
