Our seasonal menus are designed to provide a variety of nutritious foods that support healthy growth, development, and learning. With meals included in the daily fee, families can feel confident knowing their children are receiving balanced nutrition throughout the day. A seasonal four-week menu is in rotation; next week our chef will be serving the meals shown on week two below.

Uncle Alara visited the Blossom and Flourish rooms this week. He shared a special story with the children “Didane the Koala”. This book comes from the legends of the Bidjara People of the Upper Warrego and retells a traditional Dreaming story.
The story explains how the Bidjara People sought to bring trees and lush vegetation to the barren, rocky ranges of the Carnarvon area. With the help of a master boomerang thrower and a clever koala, the landscape was transformed. The children listened attentively and were fascinated by the koala's intelligence and resourcefulness throughout the story.
We always enjoy spending time with Uncle Alara and value the opportunity to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and perspectives through storytelling and shared experiences.

Hi everyone! My name is Mesude and I am delighted to be joining The Pocket Early Education and Care team as the centre's Educational Leader from 15th June. I worked as a Kindy teacher in London for 16 years before setting up my own Kindergarten in Turkey which I successfully ran for 8 years. I moved to Brisbane a few years ago with my husband and son. I have worked in community-based Kindergartens and child care centres in Brisbane. I am currently studying the Graduate Diploma to become a qualified teacher. I look forward to meeting you all next week!
