Through stories, conversations, and creative expression, our children have been exploring their rights and discovering that their ideas, feelings, and opinions are important. As they share their thinking, we continue to nurture a community where every child feels heard, valued, and empowered to belong.
Listening to children is not just about hearing their words, it's about honouring their perspectives.

We are so grateful to have two incredible Early Childhood Teachers leading our Kindergarten program each day. 💛
Thank you, Jesse and Miss Kerri, for the passion, care, and creativity you bring to your teaching. The meaningful connections you build with children, the curiosity you inspire, and the learning experiences you create help children feel confident, capable, and valued.
We appreciate the dedication and warmth you bring to our Kindergarten community and the joy you share with children every day.

Cross-studio meetings, are a time for creating space to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and collaborate as a learning community with Miss Karina.
Through meaningful conversations and reflection, educators connect, inspire one another, and explore new possibilities to continue enriching children’s learning experiences.
When we come together, we strengthen our collective knowledge and grow together.

When people think about early childhood education, they often picture play.
Building towers.
Painting.
Reading stories.
Singing songs.
Exploring outdoors.
Play is certainly at the heart of what we do.
But behind every meaningful learning experience sits something that is far less visible.
Karen Prestedge highlights the importance of recognising the invisible work that early childhood educators do to help our children thrive whilst in their care.

As part of our NAIDOC Week, children in our Kindergarten and Senior studio participated in the Sea of Fish Challenge, inspired by the significance of weaving, fishing, and the deep connection Torres Strait Islander peoples have with Sea Country.
Using a range of natural and man-made materials, children created their own fish, exploring colour, texture, pattern, and design before bringing them together to create a shared “sea of fish” display.
Children proudly shared their ideas and stories: “My fish looks like a whale because it is so BIG!” and “That is my fish there, I made it pink.”
Through creativity, conversation, and collaboration, children explored belonging, community, and the importance of caring for the environments that sustain life.

There is a quiet emotional load that exists within early childhood education.
Not the loud or dramatic kind people often imagine, but the kind that can become so familiar within the profession that educators simply learn to carry it as part of their everyday work.
It is the constant stimulation.
The ongoing movement, conversations, questions, routines, and responsibilities that fill each day.
The responsibility of remaining emotionally available, calm, patient, nurturing, observant, and responsive for children throughout the day.
Katy Bloodworth shares a deeper insight as we acknowledge the extraordinary emotional commitment that educators bring to their work each day.
