Year 11 student Emma successfully auditioned for and was selected to participate in the prestigious Australian Honours Ensemble Program – Vocal, hosted through Griffith University, during the school holidays.
Over an intensive three-day program, Emma and fellow participants learned 10 challenging vocal works, including songs performed in different languages, pieces incorporating movement and body percussion, and a performance featuring a student percussion ensemble. Demonstrating both confidence and leadership, Emma volunteered to join a three-member percussion group that accompanied one of the vocal performances.
This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it marks Emma’s second successful selection into the Australian Honours Ensemble Program, having previously participated in 2024 while in Year 9. Her continued involvement reflects her exceptional talent, dedication to music, and commitment to developing her performance skills at an advanced level.
Congratulations, Emma, on this outstanding achievement.
