This week we celebrated learning in the early years with our Under Eights morning, bringing together Prep - Year 2 students and local kindys in the Junior Learning area to freely explore activities that sparked curiosity, creativity, problem solving and enjoyment.

Year 2 have been super excited to go on their first excursion. Last week they set out on their adventure to the Toohey Forest Environmental Centre where they enjoyed a whole day of scientific learning, locating land and aquatic animals, investigating stages of lifecycles and experiencing live animals up close. They were awesome learners and great ambassadors for UMGSS.
Tact is telling the truth in a kind and thoughtful way. It means thinking about how your words might affect others before you speak.
As part of the Getting Along key, tact reminds us to pause, reflect, and choose our words carefully.
