🎌✨ NEW: Japanese Program Trial – Term 3! ✨🎌

We’re so excited to launch a Japanese Language & Culture Program as a Term 3 trial for our Junior Kindy and Kindy children! 🇯🇵💬

Starting next week, the program will run every Wednesday, guided by our two wonderful educators with Japanese backgrounds – Miss Kass and Miss Miyuki (who we’re thrilled to welcome to our team! 👋💕)

Each week, children will explore Japanese through songs, greetings, stories, and hands-on cultural experiences – all designed to make language learning fun and meaningful 🎶📖🎨

We can’t wait to see our little ones discover the joy of a new language and culture! 🌸🧠

🖤💛❤️ Acknowledgment of Country ❤️💛🖤

We begin each day with respect — for the land, the people, and the stories that came long before us.

We’re proud to share a special Acknowledgment of Country video, led by our children and educators. 🌿🗣️ Through these words, we pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the land, and honour the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders — past, present and emerging.

By embedding this practice into our everyday learning, we’re helping the next generation grow with respect, inclusion, and cultural awareness. 🌏✨

🎥 Watch the video below to witness this meaningful moment in action.

🧣❄️ Brrrr! Winter is Here – A Friendly Reminder🧤🧥

Hi families,

As the cooler weather settles in, we’ve noticed the temperatures dropping — especially during our morning and outdoor playtimes. To help keep your little ones comfortable and cosy throughout the day, we kindly ask that you please pack some extra warm clothes in your child’s bag.

This can include:

A jumper or jacket

Beanie or hat

Long pants or leggings

Spare socks (little feet can get cold quickly!)

Layering is a great way to ensure children stay warm but can still move freely and enjoy their play.

Thank you for helping us keep your children snug and happy as we continue to explore and learn through the winter months! ❄️🌿

Warm regards,
The Clayfield Early Learning Centre Team

🪐 Creativity at its finest. 🌍

This week our Junior Kindy Citizens have been exploring planets. To make this more interactive and fun, our educators mixed different coloured paints for the children to roll their ball in and went onto discuss the different names of the planets! 🤩🚀

Some of our friends wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas for 2024!

As a community at Clayfield, we have celebrated successes, and created a nurturing environment where we can thrive and learn. Without our families; staff and children, none of which would be possible.

If we don’t see you before Christmas, have a wonderful rest with your little ones ❤️🥰🎅
