A few examples of our junior projects last term. Our budding young artists get the opportunity to work with many different mediums, styles, and subject matters. In the junior classes students learn the foundational knowledge needed to start their journey as artists.

1. Hand-made paper (recycled paper)
2. Life drawing - Tilly the studio dog (charcoal)
3. 3-D shading, eggs on toast (pencils)
4. Giraffes- Building animals using simple geometric shapes (watercolour and pencil)
5. Relief printing and painting (clay and acrylic)
6. Lines in the environment - plein air (metallic paint pens on black paper)

Congratulations to teen student Sarah. W who took out first place for the teen category and then the overall People’s Choice Award at our recent exhibition.
Sarah - 15yrs is half way through the process of painting her friendship group of 12 friends. The image/composition was set up and the photographed by Sarah, using an old school camera, with multiple takes to get the right action shot.
