Honoured to serve His Majesty King Tupou VI together with my fellow matāpule (chiefs) to fulfil customary duties, including the following:

🇹🇴 Ground breaking ceremony for the new Parliament House at Talangaholo in Pea Village, opposite the Villa Royal Residence and beside the Royal Archives.

🇹🇴 Wreath Laying at Malaʻe Kula (Royal Tombs) in commemoration of His Majesty King Siaosi Tupou I who wrote the 1875 Constitution.

🇹🇴 Royal Luncheon at Pangai Lahi beside the Royal Palace in Nukuʻalofa

Each event was held on 4th November 2025 ro celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Tonga.

The Constitution was based on the Constitutions of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi and the Colony of New South Wales following a visit by His Majesty to Sydney in 1853.

During the 150th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Tonga on 4 November 2025,
I was deeply honoured and privileged to join Kioa, Longolongo ʻa e Folau, Kauʻatoa, Maʻu Kilikili, and other matāpule of His Majesty King Tupou VI in serving at the Royal Palace each morning from 5:00 a.m.

The week marked a beautiful renaissance of the age-old tradition of fakatakatōfā — the Royal Awakening.

Performing groups from across the Kingdom gathered to offer their gifts in music, performing beloved compositions of Her Late Majesty Queen Sālote Tupou III, along with the hauntingly graceful sounds of the traditional Tongan fangufangu (nose flute), gently awakening the Sovereign with the first light of dawn.
