π¦·β¨ Learning about dental hygiene can be fun! β¨π¦·
Our Kallangur Centre has been getting creative with ways to help the children learn about the importance of looking after their teeth and keeping those little smiles healthy! π
Through fun, hands-on activities and engaging experiences, the children are learning about brushing, caring for their teeth, and why good dental hygiene is so important. πͺ₯π¦·
We love making learning meaningful, interactive and, most importantly, fun! πβ¨
Dental Health Week β Nursery and Toddler Room
This week, the children in our Nursery and Toddler Room have been engaging in a range of activities that introduce the importance of brushing their teeth.
These experiences help children develop positive oral hygiene habits from an early age while encouraging them to explore and become familiar with toothbrushes in a fun and engaging way. As the children hold and move the toothbrushes, they are also developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Through modelling, imitation, and play, the children are building confidence and increasing their independence in self-care routines. These experiences support healthy lifelong habits while making learning enjoyable and meaningful.

π€ The flu is no jokeβbut there are simple ways to protect children.
Take a look below π
Did you know that children are more likely to catch the flu (influenza) than adults? π€§
Or that flu is the leading cause of hospitalisations for kids under 5?
Children under 5 years are still developing their immune systems, which means they are more likely to develop serious complications from the flu.
Children with underlying medical conditions or those who are immunocompromised are also at greater risk of developing severe infections or serious complications.
Vaccination gives kids the best protection from the flu. Book a GP appointment today or visit your local pharmacist.
