OSHC Farewell BBQ 27th of June 2025 4:30pm HALL

Hello everyone,

We’ve received a special request from the parents to host a Farewell BBQ to celebrate the end of term, which will be held at 4:30 PM on Friday, 27th June 2025, the last day of Term 2. We’d love for everyone to join us as we wrap up the term in style!

🕟 Time: From 4:30 PM
📍 Location: Stafford Heights State School Hall

This BBQ is a chance to say goodbye and farewell the Fantastic Five 💫: Mitch, Lachie, Erik, Connor, and Callum – as they all move on to exciting new adventures. While Callum has already begun his journey (his final day was June 19th before heading off to Spain on June 20th), the rest of the team will be wrapping up their time with us on the last day of Term 2.

Erik – joined February 16, 2023
Callum – joined August 22, 2023
Connor – joined April 30th, 2024

Farewell to the Fantastic Five 💫

As the end of Term 2 approaches, it's time to say goodbye to an unforgettable chapter. Our Fantastic Five – Mitch, Lachie, Erik, Connor, and Callum – are all moving on to exciting new adventures.

🌍 Callum takes flight first, with his final day on June 19th before jetting off to Spain on the 20th.
📅 Mitch, Lachie, Erik, and Connor will be wrapping up their journey on the last day of Term 2 – June 27th, 2025.

We've got an exciting, if short, week ahead of us. We're recognising Easter, Earth Day, UN Spanish Language Week, ANZAC Day and more in a range of activities - we could barely fit it all in!
We hope everyone had an enriching holidays, see you at the service!

From 10am Tomorrow 6th April our team will be here setting up the rooms for vacation care!

Our Gardens are in need of some TLC as the rain has made the weeds go wild!

if you're free tomorrow from 10am most members of our team will be here getting everything ready!

Dear Families,

Today we received our Notice of Assessment and Rating. This is a standard process that happens every 3-4 years where an authorised officer from the Department of Education comes out to go through the service's practices and documentation and provide a rating.

We were last assessed in 2021 where we achieved a Meeting result.

Since 2021 we have significantly improved our practices and our overall quality of the service. I have attached some links below for your perusal.

You will see the educators and myself here over the next few days - it can be a quite stressful time (not only in the lead up to vacation care) to put on paper what our service does best to prove that our service really has grown and the quality in Educators, Programming and planning and many other aspects of the service have significantly improved over the past 3 years.

Having had two Assessment and rating processes during my career, I am looking forward to this one being my best yet - with our amazing OSHC team and supportive community, we are aiming to put the service up at an exceeding level for the areas that we are assessed for.
