Hey families!
Just in case the kids haven’t shared with you - it’s a public holiday tomorrow. This means the school will be closed. We will be back up and running on Thursday. Dress the children in pyjamas and send them with a gold coin. Our student council have chosen to raise funds to help foster children. Help us enrich the lives of others and share goodwill. See you on Thursday!

What a wonderful way to begin NAIDOC Week at Kuraby State School! πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ

Today we came together to celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC, honouring the rich cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

A huge thank you to the Nunukul-Yuggera Aboriginal Dancers for an inspiring performance, and to everyone who joined us as we celebrated, learned and reflected together.

Together, we continue to honour culture, celebrate identity and build a better future.

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ New Pick-Up Option Starts Monday 13 July

Skip the Beenleigh Road congestion and enjoy a calmer end to the school day!

To help keep students safe during our construction works and reduce traffic congestion, parents now have the option of parking at Svoboda Park and walking to collect their children.

βœ… How it works:

* πŸš— Park in the Svoboda Park car park.
* 🚢 Walk to P Block to collect your child.
* πŸ’› Enjoy a few extra minutes together talking about their day as you walk back to your car.
* 🌳 Leave via Stiller Drive, avoiding much of the Beenleigh Road pick-up traffic.

πŸ“ Important:

* Children must be registered to be collected from P Block.
* πŸ“§ To register, email [email protected] with your child/children's name and class.
* 🚫 Parents cannot collect children from vehicles outside P Block. This is a NO PARKING zone - parking there is illegal.
* πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ This walking route is intended for adults accompanying children. It is not recommended for students to walk independently, as there are sections without a supervised crossing.

This new arrangement helps move students away from construction areas while making pick-up safer and less stressful for everyone.

πŸ“… Starts Monday 13 July

We encourage families to give it a tryβ€”you might find it's the easiest and most relaxing way to finish the school day! 🚢🌿
