🌿 Mud Kitchen Magic! 🌿

Today our little explorers got hands-on with nature's best sensory play — mud! Armed with buckets, shovels, and endless curiosity, the children worked together digging, scooping, and creating their own mucky masterpieces.

Mud play is more than just messy fun — it builds fine motor skills, encourages teamwork and communication, and gives children a wonderful sensory experience that engages sight, touch, and even smell. Watching them problem-solve together (whose bucket gets filled first? how deep can we dig?) was a joy to see.

And after all that digging, a little fresh air and tricycle riding under our beautiful old fig tree rounded out a perfect day outdoors! 🚲☀️

Today we celebrate all the special fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers and male role models who play an important role in the lives of the children within our service community.

Your love, guidance, encouragement and presence help shape the little people they are becoming. 💙

A special thank you to everyone who joined us for our Father’s Day Afternoon Celebration on Thursday! We hope you enjoyed the afternoon, making memories, sharing special moments and celebrating together as much as we did. 🥰

🌿 Trae-Trae Aboriginal Cultural Incursion

Today we were lucky to welcome Trae-Trae to our service for a special Aboriginal cultural experience. ❤️💛🖤

Trae shared stories about his family, heritage and connection to First Nations culture, giving the children an opportunity to learn through storytelling, music, movement and dance.

The children were introduced to a variety of Australian animals and their movements. They had lots of fun using their bodies to move like the animals, including kangaroos, emus and eels, joining Trae through dance and imaginative movement. 🦘🪶🐍

The experience also included traditional-inspired face and arm painting, where children who wished to participate could have white markings painted on their faces, just as Trae demonstrated during the experience.

✨ What the children experienced:

* Learning about Aboriginal culture and heritage
* Listening to stories about family and Country
* Exploring Aboriginal-inspired dance and movement
* Learning about Australian animals through storytelling and dance
* Expressing themselves through music, movement and imagination
* Participating in face painting
* Building an appreciation and respect for First Nations culture

The children were encouraged to watch, listen, move, participate and have fun, with many eagerly joining Trae in his dances.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our children to experience culture in an engaging, age-appropriate and hands-on way, supporting our ongoing learning around Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, culture, dance and connection to Country. 🌿🖤💛❤️

What a wonderful week of imagination, stories and fun we’ve had celebrating Book Week at our centre! 💕📖

Our children and educators have enjoyed coming together to celebrate the magic of books, dressing up as their favourite characters, sharing stories and bringing their favourite books to life. 🌈🦸‍♀️🧚‍♂️🐻

It has been beautiful to see the excitement, creativity and joy on everyone’s faces as we explored the wonderful world of books together. A big thank you to our amazing children, families and educators for making Book Week so special! ❤️
