HERE I AM AGAIN!! Yesterday, I reflected on last year’s Mother’s Day Workshop which was such a joy. A group of my regular children spent hours creating a delicious afternoon tea for their special invited guest, being either their mother, grandmother or aunt. It was a total joy; one of my happiest workshops ever!
Sadly, I wasn’t able to repeat this arrangement this year, but hope to again soon. Murray and I are still actively searching for a new house so that I can continue to host children’s cooking classes and reconnect with many of my beautiful students and parents - I have really missed seeing you all.
We are currently renting a property in Grange, which is also serving as a storage unit, but hope to settle somewhere before too long!!
I thoroughly enjoyed being indulged yesterday with a beautiful breakfast in bed prepared by daughter, delicious vegetables prepared by son, roast lamb cooked by husband, orange & blueberry cake baked by me, lovely flowers from son-in-law and special phone call from other daughter, currently visiting Venice! I felt very, very lucky and hope that all you other Mothers enjoyed special moments too ❤️

Do you ever feel that Christmas celebrations go by too fast? I am sitting here in NZ looking back over photos of the very few pre-Christmas cooking workshops I held. This delightful group come every year during the December holidays (with a couple of younger additions this year 👏) they are not only very capable in the kitchen but mature, respectful and fun young people.
I would like to thank all the families and children who come to my cooking classes for your continued interest and support. I value the presence and company of every single child attending.

I have only been able to host a few workshops this December but what fun! Look at this beautiful Group hard at work, and what a fabulous trifle 👍 One of the girls was lucky enough to crack a double yolk….and the eggs were fresh from my hairdressers chooks.

On a recent visit to NZ our family celebrated my dear Mother’s 96th birthday 🎉🎊 Murray & I also took a little trip down memory lane visiting my childhood farm and stopping at the ‘local’ for a very well presented toasted sandwich and a cuppa! Ahhh, memories…..

Pretty Moroccan Rice Puddings and Beef Pastries were the result of a very focussed group today, who worked so well together. Delightful children, each and every one 🤗

I missed breakfast - so it’s a quick kefir, raspberry, frozen mango, grated ginger & lemon smoothie 👌
Thanks to a good friend who recently shared her kefir grains, I am loving using fresh kefir in smoothies and over fruit and cereal - so quick, easy, satisfying and delicious…..

An afternoon in the kitchen. For an easy Sunday ‘dinner’, focaccia with slow roasted tomatoes & basil - yum! Oh, and a little glass of wine 😃
I want to thank all those who have booked their children into my cooking workshops during the June/July school holidays - I’m so grateful.
Classes are now full and I am excited to welcome the first group on Monday 24th.
