Sometimes, finding the right career starts with getting the chance to explore what’s out there ⚡

For The BUSY School Cleveland alumnus Gus, that chance led to the electrical trade and a career he genuinely enjoys.

While at The BUSY School, Gus worked with Employment Pathways Officers to explore different career options and prepare for apprenticeship opportunities. It was through that experience that he discovered electrical work was something he wanted to pursue.

Today, Gus works with Arthur’s Electrical while completing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and Certificate II in Refrigeration.

Career exploration is an important part of the student experience at The BUSY School, alongside personalised learning and wellbeing support. From work experience to school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, students are supported to explore their interests, connect with industry and start building a pathway beyond Year 12.
