🇦🇺 Working Holiday Visa Update — effective from 1 July 2026!

Australia has introduced several updates affecting Working Holiday (subclass 417) and Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas. Here’s what you need to know 👇

📅 Age eligibility is now assessed when you apply
For both subclass 417 and 462, applicants must meet the relevant age requirement at the time a valid visa application is lodged.

🎉 Subclass 417: Age limit increased to 35 for 4 countries
Eligible passport holders from:
🇨🇾 Cyprus
🇫🇮 Finland
🇩🇪 Germany
🇰🇷 Republic of Korea

can now apply up to the age of 35.

⚠️ What about subclass 462?
There has been no increase to the maximum eligible age for subclass 462 under these changes. Existing requirements, including participating countries, education requirements and applicable government support requirements, remain unchanged.

The new rules apply to relevant applications lodged on or after 1 July 2026.

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR AUSTRALIA VISITOR VISA APPLICANTS 🇦🇺

From 29 July 2026, the Australian Department of Home Affairs has introduced important changes that may affect some visitor visa applications.

Key updates include:
⚠️ Some multiple-entry visitor visas may now be granted with a maximum validity of 6 months.
⚠️ Many visas may include Condition 8503 – "No Further Stay", meaning you cannot apply for another visa while in Australia and must leave Australia before applying for a new visa.
✅ At this stage, KDP Multiple Visa (3-Year) holders are not affected.
